Operation Wolf Returns: First Mission for PS4 is a remake of the rail shooter released in arcades in 1987. The action follows two officers tasked with investigating a dangerous weapon and freeing hostages from the camps of a criminal organisation. The new version features a different art style, parody-style voice acting and a leaderboard.

It includes a campaign for one or two players, endless action gameplay and a survival mode with waves of enemies. The arsenal includes, among other weapons, an Uzi, a rifle and a grenade launcher, while the PS4 version comes with an upgrade to the digital PS5 version.
