Because it offers a different and multi-layered approach to stress, combining scientific knowledge with the spiritual dimension. It is written in simple and accessible language, making a complex subject understandable to everyone.
I have met people who were ashamed to say that they are anxious. I have met people who tried to hide their panic attacks at all costs.
I have met wonderful people who locked themselves up at home and within themselves because they were afraid. They were afraid of psychosomatic symptoms and the strange looks from others.
I have met people who struggled with their phobias and compulsions.
I have met people whose thoughts tormented them, people who were fought by their own reasoning, people who fought day and night against their own minds.
With these people, we worked together. We struggled. We cried. We laughed. And in the end, we breathed freely.
Freedom is a great thing...
These people were the reason this small book was written, with the hope of helping as many people as possible; with the hope that those who struggle with their thoughts and anxiety can breathe freely again...
Why We Loved It:
Because it offers a different and multi-layered approach to stress, combining scientific knowledge with the spiritual dimension. It is written in simple and accessible language, making a complex subject understandable to everyone.
This book is for you if…
...you are looking for ways to understand and manage stress in your life, seeking an approach that combines psychology with orthodox tradition.

«We live in the age of anxiety.
And while we all talk about anxiety, and we all deal with anxiety, if someone turns around and asks us: "What is anxiety?" we cannot answer them.
We get stuck.
What is anxiety? Tell me...
You, who are reading these lines now, can you answer?
What is anxiety?
It's difficult.
It's difficult to define anxiety because anxiety is an emotion. And emotions, no matter how hard we try, are difficult to define. We talk about emotions, we describe the results of emotions, and in this way, somehow, we humans can communicate with each other.»

In order to fight an enemy, first of all, you must get to know him. Measure him. See how he works, how he reacts, how he behaves. Learn his quirks, his habits, his peculiarities.
To fight an enemy, you must learn his moves.
To fight an enemy, first of all, you must understand him.
Wherever you turn your gaze today, you see people struggling with their anxiety. You see people tormented by it. Suffering. Trying to get rid of it.
Wherever you turn your gaze today, you will hear people talking about anxiety.
Anxiety about the present, anxiety about the past, anxiety about the future, anxiety about the "if, the maybe, and the how".
I remember at university they used to tell us that the 20th century was the century of depression.
Well, if the 20th was the century of depression, the 21st is surely the century of anxiety.
Everyone is anxious.
Everyone, more or less.
Everyone, except for my grandfather Thanasis. He never gets anxious.
"Twice in my life I was anxious, Lefterakos... Twice in my life. Anxiety is a terrible thing. Never let it happen to you..."
That's what my grandfather tells me. My grandfather, who grew up an orphan from the age of two, because his father was killed in the Greco-Italian war. In Northern Epirus. In '40. My grandfather, who was forced from the age of seven to herd sheep on the mountain, in Faia Petra. My grandfather, who still has the mark from the wolf's bite on his arm. As a small child, he had to spend thirty days alone in the Rabies Clinic in Thessaloniki after that... These and many other things were part of my grandfather's life.
