The Optex FLIPX FLX-S-ST wired motion sensor uses Quad infrared technology and detects across an 85° angle and up to 12 m. Its spherical lens adjusts through 180°, allowing the detection pattern to be changed from wide to a narrow curtain type, with a range of 2 m × 18 m and a 5° angle.

The SMDA technology pyroelectric element and temperature sensitivity compensation circuit contribute to detection performance. Sensitivity can be set to low, medium, or high, and the sensor features a walk-test mode and a green indicator light.
