They are very comfortable, lightweight shoes, I can wear them all day without being bothered! Just by appearance alone, I personally would classify them in the broader category of sports shoes.
They are definitely not waterproof because they are not made of oiled leather, which is the only material I consider waterproof for extreme weather conditions, they are definitely not suitable for winter! A waterproof spray from the market would definitely help a little more.
As for the quality of construction, especially regarding the holes that the laces pass through, it has alternating holes and loops made of lace, which are not very durable. On my left shoe, one of the holes on one side got cut and I had to bypass it and use the opposite one, which made the shoe's lacing looser than I desire, hence the minus one star!
And since we are talking about lacing tightness and the comfort of these specific shoes, I consider it important to mention that even though I have a swelling on the metatarsal of my right foot from an old injury, this particular shoe does not bother me at all, unlike many others from different brands. Of course, this happens with all Caterpillar shoes because I happen to be a fan of this brand, I have many pairs and none of them have bothered me in this specific area! No matter how big or clunky a Caterpillar shoe may seem, it is always comfortable and lightweight!
Last but not least, what size should you choose...
    Well,
    I wear 45 1/3 in Adidas
    I wear 44 2/3 in Converse
    I wear 44 in Caterpillar
Draw your own conclusions! I would suggest, of course, to find a store that sells Caterpillar, any model, and try them on, not necessarily to buy them. All models have the same fit, so if you find your size in one, it will apply to all!
I hope I helped, happy and careful shopping because it's about your feet!

Certainly they are not waterproof as stated in the description. They got wet in light drizzle. They are not very comfortable to walk in. In terms of quality, they are so-so... it seems like the front part is coming off from the beginning. They are not worth their money

Beautiful boots, something that is subjective but hits the foot close to the toes because they are very narrow (unfortunately, I have wide feet). Of course, they gradually loosen up, but you still feel some pressure if you have wide feet like me. They look high-quality and will likely withstand time (depending on usage and how you use them). When I tried them in mild rain, they had no problem, but I didn't try them in heavy rain or extreme conditions. You don't consider it particularly warm, but compared to a regular shoe, it is definitely warmer.
