No problem with the odors!!.. but a huge disadvantage is that to open it and to turn the bag inside, you absolutely need two hands. For me, the lid opens with difficulty and when I turn the bag, I have to hold the bin with the other hand. Especially if I’m holding the baby too!! I have to do "tricks"... use my foot to press the bin for resistance, or use the wall to manage to open and turn it... Also, when you open or close the lid, it makes noise... It may sound unreasonable that I mention this, but when you have a baby even these small noises seem big and are enough to wake them up... It doesn’t make a simple noise like closing a lid... It makes noise because something happens and the plastic latch resists, so when you use more force to open it, it makes even more noise... Not to mention, as I said before, it has no weight at the base, so with the force you use to open the lid, if you don’t hold it down with your foot, the bin opens abruptly, hits the wall, and then it’s 100% certain it’ll wake up your child... Even as I write this I feel unreasonable, but only if someone uses it will they understand!! If you want a bin that will keep the odors in and you can use it with your hands free from the child, then fine. But if you imagine you’ll have a bin you can use comfortably even while holding your child or when they’re sleeping in the same room as the bin... it will be a problem for you
