The significant changes brought about in labor law by Law 4808/2021, as well as some other laws enacted during the intervening period, made this new edition necessary, as the legislative modifications mainly concern individual employment relations.

Even issues that were not affected by the legislative changes have undergone substantial new analysis, taking into account the case law and commentary published during this period. In this edition, particular effort was made to process the extensive case law material, without neglecting critical review where deemed necessary.

Additionally, the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union regarding issues where national courts apply Union law has been considered. Despite the significant changes and the increased content presented in the new edition, the goal remains the same: to systematically, methodically, and as comprehensively as possible, develop and analyze the material of individual employment relations, aiming to assist legal practitioners and researchers in their work and to inspire further developments in labor law.
