Description

Espresso! The Prismo delivers satisfying results in coffee brewing by combining price, ease of use, and quality. Coffee brewed with the Prismo has a high body and significant intensity, more concentrated than a typical Aeropress coffee. Diluted with water, it can become a very nice Americano!

Construction: The device features threading and a metal filter with holes of 70 microns in diameter, as well as a special valve installed at the exit that prevents leaking.

How to brew:

  • Heat the Aeropress with the nozzle connected to hot water.
  • Grind 20 grams of coffee finely, as you would for espresso.
  • Pour out the water from the Aeropress, add the coffee, and pour in 50 - 60 milliliters of water at 96 degrees Celsius.
  • Stir vigorously for 10 seconds.
  • After a minute, place the plunger and press directly into the cup.

Material: Stainless steel and plastic.

Application: For coffee.

Type: Accessory.

It complements the aeropress perfectly because it allows you to hold the coffee and water for as long as you want before pressing the plunger, without dripping. This way, you avoid the inverted method with the risks it poses for accidents in the kitchen. Personally, the metal filter inside leaves quite a residue in my cup, so I also use a paper filter. It definitely doesn't make espresso, just like it doesn't do anything extra that the aeropress didn't do before, but it provides an extra convenience for specific coffee brewing methods that can be more troublesome without it. Whether it's worth the purchase at around €30 (a cost similar to the aeropress), I think it's up to personal judgment.
