Description

Sky-Watcher 200/1000 EXPLORER - DSF Robotic Reflecting Telescope

Reflective design telescopes provide large diameter at a reasonable price range. They have efficient light-collecting capability, particularly useful for deep sky objects such as nebulae, galaxies, and star clusters. In fact, they are suitable for any observational or photographic applications.

Includes:

The 200mm (8'') reflector telescope from SkyWatcher is one of the most popular among amateur astronomers. It gathers 78% more light than its 150mm counterpart. It features a parabolic primary mirror that eliminates spherical aberration and a large 9x50 achromatic finder for easier object locating. The secondary mirror is supported by a cross-shaped arrangement of metal vanes, which are only 0.5mm thick, to minimize the phenomenon of diffraction and light loss. Additionally, the model comes with adapters for fitting eyepieces of both standard diameters, 2'' (50.8mm) and 1.25'' (31.8mm).

Precision 2'' Crayford-Dual Speed Focuser

The focuser is of the Crayford type (2 inches) but the movement is achieved by friction (not by a rack and pinion), as is the case with many telescopes on the market. Precise optical focusing is achieved thanks to the dual-speed focusing knob with a ratio of 11:1.
