From this current issue II, an effort is being made to provide a detailed, as much as possible, presentation of the individual banking agreements in the order listed in Article 11 of Law 3601/2007 as 'activities of credit institutions'.

It is preceded by a chapter with specific references to the protection of the bank's customer as a consumer, because the relevant legislation, especially in view of the ongoing financial and economic crisis, is at the center of perhaps everyone's interest.

However, its liquidity threatens to become proverbial. Moreover, after the straightforward imposition by the legislative bodies of the European Union of a largely unified level of consumer protection across member states for the sake of facilitating competition - with Directive 2008/48/EC - the case-by-case necessary increased protection of the generally weaker contracting party in specific transactions has been unacceptably undermined.
