From the description and the title of the book, I expected a book that creatively (the journey to find the balloons) enhances children's imagination and is joyful and entertaining. In the end, what the book addresses is the ecological destruction caused by plastic and concludes that we should not have balloons at children's parties. Okay, I understand that we generally need to raise ecological awareness in our children, but I think there are other ways (recycling, picking up trash, etc.) than telling a small child not to take/play with balloons, as if that is the only/main cause of the planet's ecological destruction - children's balloons...
