It was the bag that was given to us as a gift so I don't have another one to compare it with. I can compare it with a Suisswin backpack I recently bought to replace the somewhat 'tired' Kikkaboo one. Don't make the same mistake, they are not comparable. Baby/children's bags are made for this purpose, backpacks are ultimately inferior (in compartments, convenience, etc.). This particular one has been used for over two years and it hasn't had the slightest issue. It has many internal compartments and two very spacious and deep side pockets. The material may not be waterproof but it is very practical. The only thing I can criticize (others might find it convenient) is the main lock on top, which is a small latch that you close vertically into the slot. It holds, but okay, maybe two buttons or something else could have been used. It always seemed insufficient to me. However, as a bag, it is excellent.
