The State Certificate of Language Proficiency (SCLP) adopts the principles set by the Council of Europe (CoE) and the European Commission (EC) and is granted by the Ministry of Education. It is officially recognized by the Supreme Council for Civil Personnel Selection (ASEP) within and outside Greece. The maximum total score for the candidate at all levels is 200, and the "passing grade" is 60 for B1 and 120 for B2. The parts examined in the State Certificate of Language Proficiency in German are: comprehension of written language and linguistic awareness, production of written language and written mediation, comprehension of oral language, production of oral language and oral mediation.
