Description

"CLINICAL DERMATOLOGY OF PETS" is the culmination of the collaboration of six esteemed Greek scientists, who have extensive experience in the field of veterinary dermatology, both in research and clinical practice.

In shaping the content of the book, every modern and credible source of information was utilized, with an emphasis on the diagnostic approach and therapeutic management of dermatological conditions. Its content consists of four parts, in which the rich illustrations (including 943 photographs) harmonize with the completely comprehensible text.

In the first and general part of the book, an introduction to clinical dermatology is presented, where the structure and functions of the skin and the diagnostic approach to dermatological cases are discussed. The second and third parts deal with the dermatology of dogs and cats, respectively. For these two animal species, a separate presentation of dermatological conditions was chosen, the classification of which was mainly based on etiological criteria.

The dermatology of small mammals is analyzed in the fourth part and includes the animal species that have been widely adopted by the Greek animal-loving community (rabbit, guinea pig, hamster). The book concludes with the presentation of a comprehensive and updated pharmaceutical guide.

The aim of this publication is to serve as a valuable resource for the professional veterinarian who is called upon to address dermatological cases, which make up approximately 30% of the total load of clinical practice.
