The tool is perfect. Those who had a problem that it doesn't work hadn't selected the 12V option. If you don't make the selection, it's for charging from USBs of mobile phones, tablets, etc.
Maybe those whose device blew up made the same mistake or instead of 12V, the selection was 16V or 19V.
Cars have a 12V battery, trucks 24V. If you don't make the correct selection, you will face the consequences.
First, connect the negative pole of the battery with the clamp from the device and then the positive, so it doesn't spark,
because you might damage the device or the battery.

Purchased in March '26 for 30 Euros including shipping. The quality is average but you don't expect much at this price. I tried it as a precaution on a 1300cc car where I removed one battery terminal and it started immediately twice. The lights remained 4 out of 4. I believe this is a test we should all do to know that the device works and not be caught by surprise when needed. This is because, reading the comments, I saw that for quite a few people it didn't work at all or it discharged immediately, etc. I will update if anything comes up but for now, satisfied..

To install a battery up to 70Ah it's just fine, I used it on a 1.6 engine, from 100% to a completely dead battery it went to 80%, slow charging, but it does the job and also has a practical combination of flashlights.

I used it once and that's it. I made the mistake of leaving it in the trunk for 6 months during summer and it broke... I didn't know that it gets damaged by heat and that it needs to be charged every 1-2 months.

It is not suitable for a car. I tried to charge the battery on a Skoda Fabia and it was sparking, no matter the order I connected them.

I bought this specific jump starter a month ago because of the good reviews and it has saved me 4 times so far in 3 different cars. Ford Maverick 2300 where I forgot the hazard lights on and it wouldn't start, and the next morning the same thing again because I didn't move it to charge. VW Polo 1400 which I left unused for many days, and Ford Fiesta 1500 diesel due to a faulty battery even though it was new. In two minutes, you get it started. After this, these days I will order 3 more of the same jump starters to give as gifts to family members. It is an essential tool and this particular one rightly has good reviews. The only bad thing is that it doesn't have instructions regarding charging. Whether you should have it on, off, etc. For me, it was worth the money. I hope the next three are just as good.

It broke on the first day, cheap plastic, completely fake

I bought it a month ago as if I had a premonition and it saved me 3 times. A week later I forgot the hazard lights on. The car wouldn't start. In a minute I started it with the jump starter. Two days later I tried to start it again. It wouldn't start. Used the jump starter again and everything was fine. The day before yesterday my wife tried to start her car with a brand new one-month-old battery and it wouldn't start. I went down, used the jump starter, and in a minute it started and we went to the shop where we had bought the battery. Today I came to order 3 more. One for my wife and one each for my daughters. I hope all three are good. Even if you need it just once, it's a lifesaver.

It just doesn't quit... So, 17/06/26. After 6 months it gave out but I had really put it through its paces... Every day I used it with the Despa and, of course, I charged it every 3 days... Most likely the battery died because it just wouldn't turn on again even though it was charging normally... If I would buy it again, I say yes and I will order it now... It's one of the best I've had and I will buy it again...

I have used it 3 times to start a diesel car, it worked perfectly. I also use it as a backup power bank in the car, for charging a tablet - it also works just fine.

reading 400 good reviews and 30 bad ones I believe that those 30 have made some mistake in usage.. usually most people do not read the manufacturer's instructions. Refer to the instructions and see what mistake you made...

second charge and it got hot, smelled, and swelled up... so much that it made me anxious it might explode... in my opinion... stay away

Fantastic, we rarely used our Honda CRV (2000cc) and every time we wanted to take it, the battery wouldn't start. It has been used countless times over the last two years and it has never let us down, I have no words, top.
