The first ADV jacket I had. Influenced by RyanF9 (like many others), I bought it and used it for about a year.
On the positive side: it is beautiful and has a very practical design, especially when it comes to pockets/storage space and ventilation. As soon as you remove the sleeves and open it front and back, it becomes a vest.
On the negative side: VERY heavy, especially if you also add back protection (I had chest protection too and it simply wasn’t comfortable). Also, the elbow protectors (level 1) are not removable, which ends up limiting you. In the end, it doesn’t provide proper protection because the jacket can’t fit snugly, so in the event of a fall the protectors move around and shift out of place.
Finally, the side zipper is not at all convenient. While you’re on the bike and riding, you’re fine (especially the front part that touches the bike is shorter, so it’s extra comfortable seated, and the pockets that are longer “hang” and are easily accessible — and the harness is extremely useful). But when you get off, you’re like a broken curtain rod if you need to open the zipper.
Also, it does not keep out the cold AT ALL. Okay, it has no lining, it’s not for winter, but for example if you need to do a highway ride in mild autumn conditions, if you don’t put the rain jacket over it, you’ll freeze.
Personally, I sold it and now I have (for dirt and trips) the Klim Dakar, and for protection I do it in layers (chest protector-jacket/thermal layers etc.)

Στα θετικά του: είναι όμορφο και με πολύ πρακτικό design ειδικά στο θέμα τσέπης/αποθηκευτικοί χώροι και δροσιά. Μολις βγάλεις μανικια και το ανοιξεις μπρος-πισω γίνεται γιλέκο.
Στα αρνητικά: ΠΟΛΥ βαρύ ειδικά αν του βάλεις και προστασία πλάτης (είχα και στέρνου και απλά δεν ήταν άνετο). Επίσης οι προστασίες του αγκώνα (level 1) δεν αφαιρούνται με αποτέλεσμα να σε περιορίζει. Καταλήγει δηλαδή να μην παρέχει σωστή προστασία γιατι το μπουφάν δεν μπορεί να ειναι εφαρμοστό άρα οι προστασίες σε περίπτωση πτώσης, χορεύουν και πάνε βόλτα.
Τέλος δεν ειναι καθόλου βολικό το πλαΐνό φερμουάρ. Οσο εισαι καβάλα και οδηγάς εισαι μια χαρά (ειδικά το μπροστινό μέρος που βρίσκει στη μηχανή είναι και πιο κοντό οπότε έξτρα ανετο καθιστό και οι τσέπες που ειναι πιο μακριές "κρέμονται" και ειναι ευκολα προσβάσιμες-και ο μάρσιπος τρομερά χρηστικός). Όταν όμως κατέβεις είσαι σα χαλασμένο κουρτινόξυλο αν χρειαστεί να ανοίξεις το φερμουάρ.
Επισης δεν κρατάει ΚΑΘΟΛΟΥ κρύο. Οκ δεν έχει επένδυση, δεν ειναι χειμωνιάτικο αλλά πχ αν χρειαστείς να κάνεις εθνική σε συνθήκες χαλαρού φθινόπωρου, αν δεν βάλεις απο πάνω το αδιάβροχο θα παγώσεις.
Προσωπικά, το πούλησα και πλέον εχω (για το χώμα και τις εκδρομές) το dakar της klim και από προστασία το παίζω σε στρώσεις (θώρακα-ζακετα/ισοθερμικά κλπ)
