Odysseas Elytis steered his course towards an untested direction, and this direction is what the book aims to present. While serving as a tribute to the hundred years since the poet's birth, it remains a notebook, a livre de son bord, where chronological entries, thoughts, meetings, 'beliefs' are stored; where every moment is organized, but also where the present of poetry seeks to become the tomorrow of life.

Eleven sections structure this edition, each titled with a thematically familiar verse and containing poetic units, excerpts of prose – always from the same poet – as well as rich informational drawings and photographic material.
