It is worth the money in my case because I will use it in 2-3 separate points with individual controllers. The controller is an esp8266 (around 8 euros) with wled, it works very well. The main reason for purchasing this strip was for the custom effects that wled offers, as well as the wifi and support for home assistant.
I have installed 160 centimeters of it in my office with a 5V 3A power supply.
Edit: It is difficult to attach thick cables in my case, as I am using 2x1.5 cables. This is because to use it at full brightness, it requires more amperage. I would recommend going for 12V so that you don't need such thick cables
