It does what it is intended to do. It is fast and connects with smart devices. The operation is simple and nothing specialized is needed.

Really great to have an echo in my living room, glad I found it in white , works perfectly fine with the rest of my smart devices at home

I just want to tell you that you cannot connect your mobile phone to make calls, that is, to add your phone number, because Amazon does not send SMS to Greece so you can verify. And for Apple Music users, know that you cannot connect it because it is not supported in our country.

Very good purchase for a smart speaker/Hub. It sets up very easily, connects instantly to Wi-Fi & Bluetooth, and Alexa works perfectly for music, timers, reminders, and controlling smart devices. The sound is loud for its size, with clear vocals and nice "full" bass, while its small size makes it ideal for a bedroom or living room. Also positive that it does not have a camera and has a microphone for voice commands. I recommend it without a second thought.

I am taking off one star because sometimes it executes voice commands incorrectly and I have to repeat them again and again...

I don't know what I did wrong. I logged in with my Amazon email, downloaded the app, everything was fine. After a few days, my Amazon account got blocked and I couldn't recover it. I made a new account and the same thing happened again. As a result, I have it locked away in the drawer

Very good device, although I made the mistake, not knowing, of trying to set up a smarthome on Apple HomeKit—because I use an iPhone/iPad—with the costs being much higher. Right before buying a HomePod, I thought, why not try Alexa? And I was saved!

At 1/5 of the price, it works with many more smart devices, which are more affordable and with very decent reliability and ease of use. It's a bit slower than Siri with voice commands; it needs them a bit slower and more clearly spoken, and sometimes one at a time, but it gets the job done just fine! It works perfectly with Shelly relays with immediate response, so all the lighting and shutters in the house can be controlled by voice, and it hears from quite a distance without you having to shout. I haven't used it as a speaker; I got it purely for the smart features with voice commands, as a central hub, and it's just great!

Excellent! It does almost everything! Over time, you adjust it according to your own habits and it becomes a part of your daily routine. The only downside is that unfortunately in Greece it does not connect with all the devices in the house, but with the purchase of the appropriate auxiliary gadget, the issue can be resolved... something that with the Google Assistant (which is more widespread in Greece, you don't need). Personally, I prefer Alexa. You will love it if you are into these things.

To open it, you must have it plugged in. No app/device that claims to be compatible with Alexa is currently supported by Alexa. Unfortunately, I was disappointed.

It took us some effort to link Spotify to Alexa. All the rest works pretty good. Alexa turns on and off A/C, water heater, lights. Like it so far

very convenient for connecting all devices, decent speaker for music and as bluetooth. 3 stars because it has issues with xiaomi devices and can't connect to anything unless you change the region in the xiaomi app (but then you have issues with push notifications)

I love the echo dot, Alexa is a very smart assistant if not the best on the market

Connection quite easy, the application quite user-friendly with many options to customize it to your liking. I like that you trigger it with a word unlike Google, it is very difficult not to catch you (although Google Assistant is much smarter in whatever you ask it.
Positive also that you can connect it to a Bluetooth device to hear the sound from there (e.g. soundbar). + that it also has a built-in thermometer and you can ask for the room temperature.
For about 1 year that I have it now, it completely froze at one point and I had to unplug it and plug it back in to fix it, it was probably some bad update that got fixed.

As for its functions, it is flawless. It has been connected to all motion detectors, remote controls, air conditioners, sockets, thermometers, etc. It works perfectly with everything except for a Xiaomi camera. The only problem I have been facing for the past 15 days is that it does not respond after a few hours and needs to be unplugged. I tried resetting it to factory settings but it doesn't fix it at all. From what I read, it seems to be a common issue that occurs after a certain period of time. Amazon has been aware of it for months and has announced that they will fix it, but nothing has been done. Today I saw that they announced an update, but the device is not updating. It tells me "this device is up to date." For now, I have connected it to a power timer to restart it every 12 hours. It's a shame because I would have bought a second one. For now, I do not recommend purchasing it until the issue is resolved.

Very stupid compared to Google. Simple commands are not understood. I will definitely go back to the competitor. Very unreliable. Also, a very bad speaker

I'm rewriting specifically for the friend who said that it doesn't connect with Xiaomi devices. Well, it connects just fine, and in fact, I have old Xiaomi devices - sensors that I still have necessarily on a Chinese server to work. So you go to the Xiaomi suite and inside the settings, you click on experimental connection (it mentions it something like that) and you can link with Alexa devices!!! Everything works except for 2 cameras that I have. Lights, sensors, smart plugs, robot vacuum, air purifier, Alexa and the Echo Dot recognized them all immediately. P.S. Update. I also got 4 Echo devices to listen to music in all the rooms of my house. I have created numerous scenarios and the next step will be to get compatible traps to set up an alarm system.

The best thing I have bought, I saw it in a friendly home and I believe it is my fastest purchase because it helps me a lot with my smart devices in my home and in my daily life and the big positive is that the devices that are compatible with Alexa are in a huge variety and at low prices and immediately become accessible to a larger audience!

The device can perform miracles without exaggeration. But it has a huge drawback that needs work to solve. There is not enough support for many of its applications in Greece and in Europe from what I have researched. Whenever they ask you to change your location so that you can have greater access to what you want. Otherwise, it is also quite fun as it has various quizzes.

Very good for 49 euros two years ago, just make sure to check if the power supply has an adapter or if it is a EU plug

Quite a high-quality device, the echo dot 5 spherical design like a tennis ball... Powerful sound in music with quality bass and improved compared to its predecessor, the echo dot 4th generation... It also has a built-in temperature sensor that is accurate in measurements, checked with a room thermometer..!! The only downside is that it cannot be connected to XIAOMI devices with other brands, flawless cooperation..!! Recommended for building a "smart home" so that you can control everything with your voice! And the ability to create many routines and automate them, but also your own ones!!!
