The art dealer Stan Lorrisen made millions in the world of modern art. The works of Salvador Dalí were highly sought after by newly wealthy investors and entrepreneurs looking to launder black money. Stan had no problem turning a blind eye, hoping that his buyers would do the same.
The artworks he sold came from questionable sources, and he soon discovered that the darkest of these was Dalí himself. The more successful Stan became, the closer he came to Dalí, until he managed to move into the neighbor's house.
While hiding from Interpol, Stan spent his time with artists, musicians, and various eccentrics who made up Dalí's circle. He uncovered the secret history of the surrealist painter, the artists' studio where he produced his work, as well as the money machine that allowed Dalí to live in luxury, even as his creativity began to fade.
