For the first time in Greece, the complete series of Mr. Koiner's Stories, which Brecht wrote from 1927 until the end of his life, is being published.
This edition includes stories discovered by the Swiss owner of the house in a trunk in the attic containing Brecht's remnants. These remnants belong to the Bertolt Brecht Archive, known as the Zurich Manuscript.
As noted by the translator (and introducer of Brecht to the Greek audience) Petros Markaris, "Mr. Koiner's Stories have a common axis: they show the behavior of the individual, Mr. Koiner in this case, in the phenomena of everyday life, and his reactions to established perceptions and situations. [...] Mr. Koiner frees the individual from the alienated perspective and helps him to see the event, not as a natural, everyday occurrence, but as something unnatural, as a result of processes stemming from a class society, which predetermine the event and guide it."
