We often talk about the flow of time, as if time is a river that flows. In this river, some cool off, while others struggle against the current; some dive in, while others fall, some swim, and others drown. I tried to stand on the bank.

This book is filled with the stories I have gathered: eleven women and a statue at different moments in time, twelve different hours of the great day called life, twelve short stories that I hope are worth a little time to read.
