The book that young readers hold in their hands invites them on a fantastic journey through time. It takes them to Ephesus in the 6th century BC, where they follow the young Heraclitus and his little dog, Kyôn, as they search for the sources of the Caustrous River. Heraclitus observes nature and expresses some ideas to explain the world around him. Through ten authentic excerpts rendered in Modern Greek (the original ancient text is also provided), children are introduced to the thoughts of the great pre-Socratic philosopher, who articulated the principle of continuous change that governs our world.
