For the price it had, it does what it should. It takes a turntable (it has a phono input) so you don't need a preamp, you can also connect a CD Player and there are still two other inputs left (Line 1, Line 2). The outputs to the speakers are four (that's how many you can connect) and the sound it produces is quite good.

I've had it for a little over a month and use it daily with various types of music. First of all, this is a basic amplifier, without extras and 'bells and whistles.' The important thing here is the sound: the amplifier sounds natural, comfortable ('it breathes'), but also very different with different recordings. I get the sense that it doesn't try to flatter the music, but to deliver it exactly as it was recorded on the medium. I suppose that's the point of Yamaha's 'natural sound.' The difference between the sound of a good recording and a not-so-good one is impressive. From this perspective, I am very satisfied: this amplifier has given new life to my music collection as well as motivation to seek out and appreciate/enjoy good recordings.
The only complaint I have, and that's why I don't give the 5th star, is the lack of the ability to select speakers (it takes two pairs) from the remote—which, if you have two pairs, is terribly annoying (and I was used to it from my previous one)!
Finally, the speakers are hugely important: I happened to have 2-3 different pairs and I 'played' quite a bit until I settled on my current setup.
Would I recommend it? Unreservedly, but for people who are not interested (a) in many features (bluetooth, digital inputs, etc.) and (b) in devices that flatter their music, but rather in devices that deliver (cleanly and exceptionally for the standards of the -budget- category) whatever is in the recording.

Έχω την αίσθηση ότι δεν προσπαθεί να κολακέψει τη μουσική, αλλά να την αποδώσει ακριβώς όπως αυτή είναι ηχογραφημένη στο μέσο. Υποθέτω, δε, ότι αυτό είναι και το νόημα του 'natural sound' της Yamaha. Είναι εντυπωσιακή η διαφορά ανάμεσα στον ήχο μίας καλής ηχογράφησης και μίας όχι και τόσο καλής. Από αυτή την άποψη είμαι πολύ ικανοποιημένος: ο ενισχυτής αυτός έδωσε νέα πνοή στη μουσική συλλογή μου καθώς και κίνητρο να αναζητώ και να εκτιμώ/απολαμβάνω την καλή ηχογράφηση.

Θα τον πρότεινα; Ανεπιφύλακτα, αλλά για ανθρώπους που δεν ενδιαφέρονται (α) για πολλές δυνατότητες (bluetooth, ψηφιακές εισόδους κτλ) και (β) για μηχανήματα που κολακεύουν τη μουσική τους, αλλά αποδίδουν (καθαρά και εξαιρετικά για τα δεδομένα της -οικονομικής- κατηγορίας) ό,τι υπάρχει στην ηχογράφηση.

Πολύ καλός ο ενισχυτής της yamaha ωραίο ήχο ποιοτικό βγάζει, η ένταση αρχίζει και δυναμώνει από το 50 και πάνω αυτό είναι καλό γιατί αρχίζει σταδιακά να αυξάνει και όχι πχ από το 15 που αρχίζουν πολλοί άλλοι ενισχυτές, η ισχύς που δίνει είναι στα 100W+100W αρκετά δυνατή ένταση, έχει πολλές εξόδους για διάφορες συσκευές όπως πχ cd player πικάπ κ.α αξίζει τα χρήματα του σίγουρα και επίσης αυτή την ωραία υφή που βγάζουν ηχητικά οι yamaha νομίζω άλλη εταιρία δεν το έχει πετύχει, αγοράστε τον άφοβα!!!
Very good for its price, but keep in mind that at high volumes the distortion increases significantly, something that of course happens in the majority of amplifiers operating in the same class. It was called to drive a classic pair of moderately sensitive (88db) speakers, B&W P4, fully rebuilt. The sound is pleasant and quite detailed (from a digital source with USB DAC Topping D10), but in order for the speaker's transmission line to "excite" and deliver proper bass, the volume had to be turned up a lot, and the overall sound balance left a sour taste. With all that, I decided to do a general service on the existing amplifier (an Audio Analogue Primo first generation, 20 years old), which, truth be told, when things got tough, outperformed the A-S201 without hesitation. Of course, the aforementioned service will cost almost as much as the new A-S201, but I judged that it is worth the extra effort. I assume that with an easier load, it will perform much better, and in any case, it is a honest and well-built amplifier. It just wasn't for me...

Κλήθηκε να οδηγήσει ένα κλασικό ζευγάρι ηχείων μέτριας ευαισθησίας (88db), Β&W P4, πλήρως ανακατασκευασμένα. Ο ήχος ευχάριστος και αρκετά αναλυτικός (από ψηφιακή πηγή με USB DAC Topping D10), αλλά για να "συγκινηθεί" η Transmission Line του ηχείου και να αποδώσει σωστό μπάσο, το volume έπρεπε να ανέβει πολύ, και η γενικότερη ηχητική ισορροπία άφηνε μία ξινίλα. Με τα πολλά, αποφάσισα να κάνω γενικό σέρβις στον υφιστάμενο ενισχυτή (έναν Audio Analogue Primo πρώτης γενιάς, ηλικίας 20 ετών), που, κακά τα ψέματα, όταν τα πράγματα ζορίζανε, πάταγε τον A-S201 αλύπητα. Βέβαια, το ανωτέρω σέρβις θα κοστίσει σχεδόν όσο και ο καινούριος A-S201, αλλά έκρινα ότι αξίζει και με το παραπάνω τον κόπο.
Υποθέτω ότι με πιο εύκολο φορτίο, θα τα καταφέρνει πολύ καλύτερα, και σε κάθε περίπτωση πρόκειται για τίμια, και καλή κατασκευή. Απλά, δεν ήταν για μένα...
If it had another star, I would give it to him.... perfect in everything. After two months of use, all I have to say is that Yamaha did its miracle again. Clean sound, high end... The intensity is given after its 40 percent.

Είναι εντυπωσιακή η διαφορά ανάμεσα στον ήχο μίας καλής ηχογράφησης και μίας όχι και τόσο καλής. Από αυτή την άποψη είμαι πολύ ικανοποιημένος: ο ενισχυτής αυτός έδωσε νέα πνοή στη μουσική συλλογή μου καθώς και κίνητρο να αναζητώ και να εκτιμώ/απολαμβάνω την καλή ηχογράφηση.
Το μόνο παράπονο που έχω, και γι' αυτό δε δίνω το 5ο αστεράκι, είναι η απουσία δυνατότητας να επιλέξω ηχεία (παίρνει δύο ζευγάρια) από το remote - το οποίο, αν έχεις δύο ζευγάρια, είναι τραγικά εκνευριστικό (και το είχα συνηθίσει από τον προηγούμενο που είχα)!
Τέλος, τεράστια σημασία έχουν τα ηχεία: εγώ έτυχε να έχω 2-3 διαφορετικά ζευγάρια και 'επαιξα' αρκετά μέχρι να καταλήξω στο τωρινό μου setup.
Θα τον πρότεινα; Ανεπιφύλακτα, αλλά για ανθρώπους που δεν ενδιαφέρονται (α) για πολλές δυνατότητες (bluetooth, ψηφιακές εισόδους κτλ) και (β) για μηχανήματα που κολακεύουν τη μουσική τους, αλλά αποδίδουν (καθαρά και εξαιρετικά για τα δεδομένα της -οικονομικής- κατηγορίας) ό,τι υπάρχει στην ηχογράφηση.

It also slightly overwhelmed the speaker regardless of which speakers I used. However, when I connected it to genuine, expensive speakers with a power of 80 watt RMS each, it performed much better than the others

Και μου μπούκωνε λίγο τον ηχείο σε ότι ηχεία και να τον έβαζα. Στην συνέχεια του έβαλα Κατή γνήσια ακριβά ηχεία ισχύς 80 watt rms το καθένα και πάλι μεγάλα του πέθανε αλα παίζανε 9πολύ καλύτερο από τα υπόλοιπα
The amplifier of Yamaha is very good, it produces a nice and high-quality sound. The volume starts and increases gradually from 50 and above, which is good because many other amplifiers start at 15. It has a power output of 100W+100W, which is quite strong. Πολύ καλός ο ενισχυτής της yamaha ωραίο ήχο ποιοτικό βγάζει, η ένταση αρχίζει και δυναμώνει από το 50 και πάνω αυτό είναι καλό γιατί αρχίζει σταδιακά να αυξάνει και όχι πχ από το 15 που αρχίζουν πολλοί άλλοι ενισχυτές, η ισχύς που δίνει είναι στα 100W+100W αρκετά δυνατή ένταση, έχει πολλές εξόδους για διάφορες συσκευές όπως πχ cd player πικάπ κ.α αξίζει τα χρήματα του σίγουρα και επίσης αυτή την ωραία υφή που βγάζουν ηχητικά οι yamaha νομίζω άλλη εταιρία δεν το έχει πετύχει, αγοράστε τον άφοβα!!!
Very good for its price, but keep in mind that at high volumes the distortion increases significantly, something that of course happens in the majority of amplifiers operating in the same class. It was called to drive a classic pair of moderately sensitive (88db) speakers, B&W P4, fully rebuilt. The sound is pleasant and quite detailed (from a digital source with USB DAC Topping D10), but in order for the speaker's transmission line to "excite" and deliver proper bass, the volume had to be turned up a lot, and the overall sound balance left a sour taste. With all that, I decided to do a general service on the existing amplifier (an Audio Analogue Primo first generation, 20 years old), which, truth be told, when things got tough, outperformed the A-S201 without hesitation. Of course, the aforementioned service will cost almost as much as the new A-S201, but I judged that it is worth the extra effort. I assume that with an easier load, it will perform much better, and in any case, it is a honest and well-built amplifier. It just wasn't for me...

Κλήθηκε να οδηγήσει ένα κλασικό ζευγάρι ηχείων μέτριας ευαισθησίας (88db), Β&W P4, πλήρως ανακατασκευασμένα. Ο ήχος ευχάριστος και αρκετά αναλυτικός (από ψηφιακή πηγή με USB DAC Topping D10), αλλά για να "συγκινηθεί" η Transmission Line του ηχείου και να αποδώσει σωστό μπάσο, το volume έπρεπε να ανέβει πολύ, και η γενικότερη ηχητική ισορροπία άφηνε μία ξινίλα. Με τα πολλά, αποφάσισα να κάνω γενικό σέρβις στον υφιστάμενο ενισχυτή (έναν Audio Analogue Primo πρώτης γενιάς, ηλικίας 20 ετών), που, κακά τα ψέματα, όταν τα πράγματα ζορίζανε, πάταγε τον A-S201 αλύπητα. Βέβαια, το ανωτέρω σέρβις θα κοστίσει σχεδόν όσο και ο καινούριος A-S201, αλλά έκρινα ότι αξίζει και με το παραπάνω τον κόπο.
Υποθέτω ότι με πιο εύκολο φορτίο, θα τα καταφέρνει πολύ καλύτερα, και σε κάθε περίπτωση πρόκειται για τίμια, και καλή κατασκευή. Απλά, δεν ήταν για μένα...
If it had another star, I would give it to him.... perfect in everything. After two months of use, all I have to say is that Yamaha did its miracle again. Clean sound, high end... The intensity is given after its 40 percent.

For the price it had, it does what it should. It takes a turntable (it has a phono input) so you don't need a preamp, you can also connect a CD Player and there are still two other inputs left (Line 1, Line 2). The outputs to the speakers are four (that's how many you can connect) and the sound it produces is quite good.
Για την τιμή που είχε, κάνει αυτό που πρέπει. Παίρνει ένα πικάπ (έχει είσοδο phono) άρα δεν χρειάζεσαι προενίσχυση, επίσης μπορείς να βάλεις και ένα CD Player και μένουν και άλλες δύο εισόδοι (Line 1, Line2). Η έξοδοι στα ηχεία είναι τέσσερεις (τόσα μπορείς να τοποθετήσεις) και ο ήχος που βγάζει είναι αρκετά καλός.
I've had it for a little over a month and use it daily with various types of music. First of all, this is a basic amplifier, without extras and 'bells and whistles.' The important thing here is the sound: the amplifier sounds natural, comfortable ('it breathes'), but also very different with different recordings. I get the sense that it doesn't try to flatter the music, but to deliver it exactly as it was recorded on the medium. I suppose that's the point of Yamaha's 'natural sound.' The difference between the sound of a good recording and a not-so-good one is impressive. From this perspective, I am very satisfied: this amplifier has given new life to my music collection as well as motivation to seek out and appreciate/enjoy good recordings.
The only complaint I have, and that's why I don't give the 5th star, is the lack of the ability to select speakers (it takes two pairs) from the remote—which, if you have two pairs, is terribly annoying (and I was used to it from my previous one)!
Finally, the speakers are hugely important: I happened to have 2-3 different pairs and I 'played' quite a bit until I settled on my current setup.
Would I recommend it? Unreservedly, but for people who are not interested (a) in many features (bluetooth, digital inputs, etc.) and (b) in devices that flatter their music, but rather in devices that deliver (cleanly and exceptionally for the standards of the -budget- category) whatever is in the recording.
