During the process, two mediums circulate alternately: the heat absorption medium and the heat diffusion medium. The device is sealed both externally and below the mediums, achieving this through various methods.

There are different types of plate heat exchangers. Preferred are the exchangers with plates welded together, offering specific benefits in the efficiency of the heat transfer process.
