The Kingston Fury Impact DDR5 SODIMM is aimed at demanding computer users, such as gamers, professionals in video and image editing, designers, and those who require high performance from their laptop.

DDR5

DDR5 is the fourth generation of RAM technology for computers. It replaces DDR4 and offers increased speeds and capacity.

It offers operating speeds from 3200MT/s to 12600MT/s, response time (CAS Latency) from CL 28 to CL 48, while its capacity has increased up to 64GB per memory module.

For speed (MT/s) and capacity (GB), the larger size we choose, the better performance we will have in our system, while for response time (CL), we want the smallest size for the speed (MT/s) we have chosen.

The above features should be compatible with the specifications of our motherboard.

The Kingston Fury Impact DDR5 SODIMM provides speed at 4800MT/s, with CL38 and 16 GB per memory module.

Compatibility

DDR5 technology is compatible with specific motherboards and processors. Indicatively, DDR5 is compatible with Alder Lake, Raptor Lake, and the latest Intel processors, as well as AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors.

However, for compatibility with your motherboard, you need to ensure that your motherboard supports DDR5 technology from the manufacturer. Compatibility depends on the processor platform and the type of motherboard you are using.

XMP & EXPO

    This is a PnP (plug & play) set of memories, if you're looking for some fast 5600MT/s RAM, It does support XMP but the 40CL also comes as a JEDEC default, so even if your laptop does not support XMP it will run at its advertised 5600MT/s and 40CL, It works on my HP Victus laptop with 7840HS / RTX 4070, even though in the official HP page it said it supported a Max of 32Gb I recommend you to run CMD in admin mode and type the following "wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx" to check the max supported RAM of your laptop/motherboard.
