It has one major drawback, in surfaces where there is not enough space to apply it, for example between the edge of the sink and the kitchen wall, it simply doesn't fit and whatever needs to be done, has to be done by hand. Other than that, it is a quality tool made of hard plastic which has soft plastic at its edge, where the silicone is applied, probably for better placement and control of the silicone.
