Pure Performance: Enjoy Riding Without Distractions

The evolution of perfection

The Shoei NXR2 was created to offer the purest driving sensation. It is a "concentrate" of knowledge and technology, designed for Sport Street use. Its core is the AIM+ shell (Advanced Integrated Matrix Plus). This is an advanced layered structure made of Organic Fiber, Multifiber, and High Performance Organic Fiber, providing extraordinary shock absorption while keeping the weight low.

Top Safety & E.Q.R.S.

Life-saving technology

Safety at Shoei is non-negotiable.

  • E.Q.R.S.: Emergency Quick Release System that allows the safe removal of the cushions by rescuers in case of an accident.
  • Multi-density EPS: Interior with different levels of shock absorption.
  • Double D-Ring: The safest, racing-type buckle.

Next-generation visibility

See clearly, ride fast

The new CWR-F2 visor revolutionizes visibility.

  • Central lock: New locking mechanism in the center for smoother operation and better sealing.
  • Pinlock Evo (Included): The position of the anti-fog membrane has been optimized (pulled back) so that it does not obstruct the field of vision at all, even in a crouched riding position.

Comfort and aerodynamics

Made to fit you

The NXR2 offers something rare: 5 different outer shell sizes. This means the helmet is as small and light as possible for your size.

  • Ventilation: With 6 inlets at the forehead and chin and 4 outlets at the back, air renewal is continuous.
  • Sena Ready: It is ready to accept the special Sena SRL EXT intercom system (sold separately) which integrates perfectly into the shell.
  • Interior: Fully removable 3D pads, ear pads for noise reduction, and customization options (different cheek pad thicknesses).

Tested in Practice: What Riders Say About the Shoei NXR2

We gathered the top points from owner reviews:

  • Shoei Quality: The build quality and materials are simply top-notch.
  • Lightweight & Comfortable: Ideal for long rides without straining the neck, with an excellent feel on the head.

I don't know if this helmet can be considered value for money, but it is definitely a satisfactory and quality helmet. I bought it after trying its predecessor (NXR) in medium size and it was too tight. So, taking a risk, I ordered the NXR-2 in Large. In the end, it fits me very well (not too tight, not too loose, just right).
●I use it on a sport touring motorcycle with a tall windscreen and up to speeds of 140-150 km/h, the noise is not bothersome. However, since it is considered a helmet for sport motorcycles where speeds are much higher, I don't think its aerodynamic design is the best. It is simply good!
●The ventilation, however, does a good job in the summer (I feel the air entering my head and cooling me down), BUT like all helmets, the noise increases when all the vents are open. I also noticed that during the winter months, the chin curtain provides good insulation, both in terms of cold and noise.
●The included Pinlock is necessary for the winter months and it does its job perfectly.
●Although it's my first time using a Double D-ring closure, I have gotten used to it and now I can do it with one hand while on the move.
●I have also added an intercom, as shown in the photos, which fits very well in the intercom slot and has enough space for cables inside the helmet.
●The visor doesn't go in and out as easily as in other helmets, but once you figure it out, it's fine. Opening the visor from the center instead of the left side has been incredibly convenient.
●Lastly, the most important aspect is the price. I believe that for those who don't care about graphics and choose a solid color, it's a very good deal to save 80-100€.
●I shouldn't forget to mention the new Dot 22.06 certification, which makes it a very safe helmet "with the stamp of approval."
*My advice is to try it on if possible before purchasing it online.
**One last thing, the helmet is for your HEAD, not your elbow

This is the worst helmet I've ever had. Terrible noise (whistling), I honestly can't understand how they praise it. All my helmets are noisy after a certain distance, but this one produces an extremely annoying sound from 100 to 150 kilometers. It doesn't sound like wind noise, it sounds like a whistle. Otherwise, good build quality, difficult opening/closing of the visor, lightweight, and good visibility.

I did a lot of research on the helmet. The main reason I got it was because it is a quiet helmet compared to the others. I am not satisfied at all. From 40-50 kilometers per hour, the wind noise is very loud. The fit is correct. I had higher expectations.

Pros: shell build quality is very good.
    Sound insulation is very good
Cons: the cheek pads keep coming off and need to be repositioned.
Peripheral vision behind the shoulders when you turn your head is limited.

So, coming from a mid-range helmet from the company HJC, I have the following to say. Regarding the size, medium in HJC is medium in Shoei as well. The fit is much better, obviously, in the NXR2. Now, where the difference is extreme! The helmet is significantly quieter. The feeling at cruising speed of 130-140 is like having the car window open and then closing it! We are talking about very good quality! Time will tell about its durability. First impression is excellent!

I regretted the moment I switched from HJC to Shoei.....

the buttons open all the time, every time I take it off I have to fasten them again one by one...
I’m suffocating from the heat inside this shell,

The best I've tried in a helmet. It fits perfectly on my head. Quiet, lightweight, and comfortable. The only thing I might change is the color, as the matte is nice but ultimately the gloss looks better to the eye, although that's a subjective opinion. The only negative I would say is perhaps the prices of the visors from Shoei, which you know beforehand what you're getting into, however, the competition (HJC RPHA12) includes both a clear and a dark visor in the box. Beyond that, of course, after you try it on first and it fits well on your head, it's a worthwhile choice. For use on a naked bike, I am very satisfied and I am considering getting it again in the future, just in a different color.

One of the best helmets you can get for everyday use, the only thing it offers is sound insulation, quite comfortable for hours even though it is tight. I've had it for a year, no wear and no complaints (don't get matte if you care about scratches). In the summer in Athens, it is expectedly hot, but with all the vents open and the visor one click up while moving, you'll be fine

First time buying a helmet, I decided to choose a quality brand and not something cheap. The first test I did with my fz1 naked, at high speed I am absolutely satisfied and with open air vents, zero noise. Riding with and without a helmet is like night and day in terms of air pressure, especially on a 1000 naked. I do feel the nx2 a bit tight on the sides and after 50-60 minutes of riding I felt a little to quite a bit of discomfort on my head. Maybe because it's the first fit.

A fanatical supporter of SHOEI, as I trust it for reliability and safety! Upgrade from the XR-1100. Perhaps one of the best helmets on the market. Ergonomic, particularly lightweight, and reliable. When you move at high speed and turn your head, you don't feel the side wind hitting you like with inferior helmets.

Very high-quality helmet without much noise.
It really hugs the head without feeling the weight at all.
The chin strap could have a better fit because there is a risk of it coming off in some cases.
The air vents are great and with enough heat, you don't feel the outside temperatures.
In any case, it's worth the money and coming from AGV there is no going back or even comparison.

After 100 km and without the chin curtain, my eyes tear up from the air entering the helmet. With the chin curtain, it's much better but the sunglasses or prescription glasses fog up at low speeds. I don't think it's the fault of this specific helmet though. Otherwise, it's not a best seller for no reason...

I agree with all the previous comments,
Except for the unacceptable quality of the interior...
I have bought it and use it daily as a distributor and did not expect it to have this unjustifiable wear.
For a walk it may be good, but I consider a product at such a price, judged comprehensively from daily use and is ultimately worse than a helmet of 40€.

Unfortunately, I was not satisfied because the helmet with the closed and secured visor lets in air, has excessive noise even at low speeds (80 km/h), and the paint and materials smelled excessively during the first few days of use. On the positive side, it has great visibility, a very good anti-fog membrane, and air vents.

Beautiful, high-quality construction and relatively quiet. Unfortunately, its windshield does not seal well. It lets in a lot of air right in front of the nose from 50km/h and above, even after adjustment. Desperate situation in cold weather.

With the pin lock, I found them a bit dark and I broke the first one. I bought 2 and so far everything is good, although it also fogged up. I never had a problem with pin lock on other helmets. Combined with the photochromic visor, it's awesome.

What can I say about the nxr2.. it truly is the best all-round helmet out there. It's suitable for everything. The only thing I would like it to have as an extra is a small visor that can easily be inserted and removed for sunny days. Other than that, it's perfect

As for quality, it has good materials. Beautiful shape and colors. But I started for a ride and after 25 minutes of driving, I felt uncomfortable and stopped to take off the helmet to get some air. The outside temperature was 25 degrees and I wondered if the vents were working even though I had them all open. My head was sweating. Measured for a medium size, the fit was very tight. As a result, I had to press several points of the inner shell to be able to bring it to the correct fit.

I have it for 2 months, perfect fit (I wear glasses), perfect visibility, terrible noise from 80 to 100 km/h. With all the vents open (with nose and chin curtain), the helmet gets wet on the forehead. They say it's anti-sweat, of course it dries in 10 minutes, but it's nothing like the rpha 11 I have.

Comparison to the previous hjc is17 helmet, one category below
    Compact and lightweight (small)
Good ventilation with the rear vent permanently open for hygiene reasons, summer will show if it is excellent
Very good materials and feel inside the helmet
Stable with good aerodynamics and balance, no pressure felt in any area.
Visibility, here I think it's everything for me, panoramic view doesn't obstruct your vision at all, if you ride with a bent posture or with clip ons you will greatly appreciate it, very good job in this area then
The button for visor opening has also been transferred to the front of the nxr2 now
Aerodynamic noises, here I expected better results, it's not quiet, there is a moderate sound inside.
Also, when you turn your head left or right, there is a slight sound there too, I don't know if it's from the pins on the visor or something else
Overall satisfied with the only downside being the moderate noise

I intended to buy a cheaper helmet (due to budget), but when I went to the store, I was tempted to try the NXR2 since I had previously owned the XR 1000 and was also very satisfied. Unfortunately for my pocket, but fortunately for my head, I couldn't resist the purchase. The fit of it is simply unmatched.

The helmet is incredible in terms of fit. I tried many helmets in the store and this was the only one that I felt hugged my entire head. It has a very nice appearance and I haven't noticed anything bothersome in terms of noise. Very important for those who wear glasses is that they fit without any difficulty, something that is not easily achieved with other helmets.

Very good helmet, comfortable (although they pressed it a little where I bought it because it was slightly tight on the sides).
I also attached a Cardo Freecom 4X with the clip (as shown in the photos), easy installation once you find the right spot (it also has notches for the headphones).

Another thing I want to comment on is that my glasses fit comfortably (as if it has drivers to fit them), something that my old AVG helmet still can't do today. In my case, the arms are thin and flexible, so your mileage may vary in this area.

Coming from a 350€ AGV helmet. Guys, this helmet is amazing. Perfect fit on the head, excellent visibility, super lightweight since I got the Small size (1250gr), and beautiful. I got the Arcane TC10. You can immediately feel the quality. CRAZY GOOD!!!!!

As for the negatives, it produces a bit of noise, but not annoyingly so, and it's nothing compared to the AGV I had. It's actually much quieter than the AGV. I also added a communication system on it and everything is working fine.

Beyond that, of course, after you try it on first and it fits well on your head, it's a worthwhile choice. For use on a naked bike, I am very satisfied and I am considering getting it again in the future, just in a different color.
