Description

Fishing reel by Oceanic, suitable for eging. It features 6 bearings that facilitate the movement of the main shaft. The reel drum rotates with a gear ratio of 6.2:1, which means that for one complete turn of the handle, the spool will make 6.2 rotations.

Smooth Operation

A specialized mechanism aimed at fans of the Eging technique, possessing all those qualities we need for squid and cuttlefish fishing. 

It has smooth operation achieved through its design and the handle that screws directly onto the body, providing immediate response to its movement.


The mechanism has been reinforced with two bearings in the roller, a rigid and strong wire in the bail arm, and finally with a very tight and strong bail spring that withstands all the stresses of sudden and violent jerks. Its winding is perfect and you will never have problems with tangles again, while its brakes, which apart from the several micro-adjustments they have, have the ability to release immediately without complications (slips), which means they will never tear the caught squid or cuttlefish.

It weighs only 217g and has a normal speed (85cm per full turn of the handle), additionally it is equipped with a shallow spool to hold approximately 150m PE 0.6, 0.8 & 1.0 line.

Maintenance of Mechanism

  • Clean the mechanism after each fishing trip to remove dirt and saltwater residues.
  • Rinse with fresh water to prevent corrosion.
  • Use oil or grease on moving parts to reduce friction and check the fishing line for wear.
  • Check the functionality of the drag system and adjust the tension accordingly.
  • Store in a cool, dry place, protected from dust.
  • Loosen the drag tension when not in use for extended periods.
