    + Good build quality

+ Includes extra screws and "caps" (for the screws)

+ Quiet enough when opening and closing

    - Troublesome installation

    - If the cat passes slowly through the flap, sometimes the flap stays half-open

I installed it myself on an interior door using a hammer drill, electric jigsaw, and screwdriver, combining information from various YouTube videos, without prior experience.

For those attempting the installation themselves, the following details may be useful:

    > Some doors are hollow and there isn't enough wood between the two faces for the screws to "bite." In my case, I solved this problem by wedging stacked popsicle sticks (secured with wood glue) into the gaps. (see photo)

    > The flap is recommended to be installed at least 10cm–15cm above the lowest point of the door (as stated in the instructions). If the hole is made lower, it may damage the solid wood of the door frame that gives it stability.

    > After applying the paper template/guide included in the package to your door, cut INSIDE its perimeter. In other words, when you start cutting, don't cut around the outline of the paper, because the hole will be bigger than needed. If the flap doesn't fit, you can always "shave off" the extra wood with a file. But if the hole is bigger than needed, it's much harder to add material.

    Good luck!

I don't know if it's just the door or the person who installed it, but it doesn't look nice on glass. On an interior door, it's fine. When it blows, it opens and closes by itself on the glass and cold air comes in.
