Description

Description

The Vengeance RGB DDR5 RAM is aimed at demanding computer users, such as gamers, professionals in video and image editing, designers, and those who require high performance from their computer.

DDR5

DDR5 is the fifth generation of RAM memory technology for computers. It replaces DDR4 and offers increased speeds and capacity.

It offers operating speeds from 3200MT/s to 12600MT/s, latency (CAS Latency) from CL 28 to CL 48, while its capacity has increased up to 64GB per memory module.

For speed (MT/s) and capacity (GB), the larger the size we choose, the better performance we will have in our system, while for latency (CL), we want the smallest size for the speed (MT/s) we have chosen.

The above characteristics should be compatible with the specifications of our motherboard.

The Vengeance RGB provides speed at 6000MT/s, with CL30 and 16 GB per memory module.

Compatibility

DDR5 technology is compatible with specific motherboards and processors. Indicatively, DDR5 is compatible with Alder Lake, Raptor Lake, and the latest Intel processors, as well as AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors.

However, for compatibility with your motherboard, you need to ensure that your motherboard supports DDR5 technology from the manufacturer. Compatibility depends on the processor platform and the type of motherboard you are using.

XMP 3.0 & EXPO

XMP & EXPO is a technology that allows us to increase the frequency and performance of our computer's memory without the need for manual adjustments. (XMP/EXPO) is easily activated from the BIOS, is available on certain RAM modules, and is supported by certain motherboards.

The Vengeance RGB has XMP 3.0 profiles with performances:

  • Speed (XMP 3.0): 6000 MT/s
  • CAS Latency (XMP 3.0): 30-36-36-76
  • Voltage (XMP 3.0): 1.40V

RGB Lighting

The RGB lighting in the Vengeance RGB DDR5 series has all the means and features to create a unique and impressive look for your computer.

You can achieve this either through the software provided by the company, iCUE, or with compatibility in Sync Up software provided by motherboard companies. The advantage of Sync Up is that we can synchronize the RGB lighting of the entire computer.

The Vengeance RGB Pro is compatible with Asus Aura, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, and MSI Mystic Light software.

Cooling & Design

Aluminum Heatsink

The aluminum heatsink material keeps the memory at a fairly low temperature even during the most demanding operations.

The memories work perfectly even on a motherboard that is not on the QVL list, specifically on the B850 AORUS ELITE WIFI 7. Now the price is a big problem. I had bought them for €167. Now I wouldn't give a cent at these prices.

At 150 euros, which it cost a few months ago, it was worth it; at 500, which it has gone up to, for no reason at all. The same thing happened with GPUs and BTC a few years ago, be patient if prices drop again next year..

Be careful when choosing RAM, this particular one is not compatible with Gigabyte Aorus Elite. Always check the memory support.

Edit: The motherboard was defective and they told me it was my fault for not getting compatible RAM, something I recently learned I should check. There is probably no such compatibility issue, these should work just fine.

They work perfectly on an MSI MAG TOMAHAWK B650 WI-FI AM5 with an R5 9600X. From the BIOS, I selected the EXPO option and they went from 4800hz to 6000hz. The lighting is very nice, and with the Corsair iCUE application, you can manage it however you want.

They fit into the Asrock x870 ripide and worked right away. Then, through the UEFI BIOS, they were set to the profile expo 6000 cl30 (I have the CPU 7600x) and the system worked again without any issues.

Very good RAM, even though it says AMD on the box, I installed them on an Intel motherboard (Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite X WIFI7) and the BIOS immediately recognized the profile expo1. It has been working perfectly at 6000 without any issues for a month now. In a test in the cmd (/winsat mem), it achieved a memory performance of 91782.56 MB/s
