It is a popular choice for plywood in parts of Asia. Albasia wood is lighter in weight than most types of pine. This wood is primarily found in Indonesia. Albasia can easily grow in different climates, but mainly in areas where rainfall is more or less frequent. Therefore, it is easily found in large quantities throughout most of Indonesia and grows rapidly. The Albasia tree can have a diameter of up to 1 meter and a height of about 30 meters.
