Red Sea's NO3: PO4-X is a unique carbon compound used by nutrient-reducing bacteria. It prevents nuisance algae and allows the control of zooxanthellae for optimal coral growth and coloration while ensuring the correct ratio of carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus at each stage.

The formulation includes additional organic, bonded elements that play a significant role in each stage of the reduction process. These trace elements ensure stable bacterial growth, complete conversion of nitrates to nitrogen gas, and the absorption and utilization of phosphates by the bacteria.

The correct control of nitrate and phosphate levels provided by the dosing of NO3: PO4-X guarantees gradual changes and precise maintenance of nutrient levels, preventing the destruction of the zooxanthellae population that can cause UV shock and coral starvation.
