Group A Beta-Hemolytic Streptococcus
It is a major cause of upper respiratory tract infections such as tonsillitis, pharyngitis, and scarlet fever. Early diagnosis and treatment of group A streptococcal pharyngitis have been shown to reduce the severity of symptoms and further complications, such as rheumatic fever and glomerulonephritis.
Instructions for Use
- Collect the sample from the throat with the provided sterile swab
- Add 5 drops of reagent A and B into the empty tube
- Place the swab with the sample into the tube for 2 minutes
- Remove by pressing and rotating the swab against the walls to leave as much sample as possible in the tube
- Open the package with the rapid test cassette
- Drop 3 drops of the liquid mixture into the special slot of the test device
- Read the result in a few minutes
- Avoid interpreting the indicated result after 10 minutes
