This work constitutes a model, comprehensive analysis of the course in Political Economy and Public Economics tailored to the cognitive needs of candidates in competitions such as those of the National School of Public Administration and the National School of Local Government. It is addressed to candidates of all specialties and analyzes the concepts in the depth needed for a holistic understanding of economic issues. This book is not a simple and barren presentation of economic concepts. After all, this could be done if the candidate gathered the material from the recommended books. More specifically, each concept is presented with the simplicity needed both for a candidate who has never heard of economics and for an economist candidate who needs to adapt their knowledge to the requirements of similar competitions. This is achieved by providing examples from everyday life to explain each concept, as well as explaining the reason why each concept is taught in relation to the competition.
