The MONTVAL® paper was designed by the painter Gaspard Maillol, nephew of the sculptor Aristide Maillol, and is manufactured by CANSON®. Since then, the material has evolved significantly.

  • ACID-FREE, with excellent longevity.
  • Special treatment against “mold” without chemical bleaching.
  • Ideal for “Wet” techniques, suitable for “Fine Arts” students.
  • Very easy to use and allows corrections with a wet brush.
  • Available with a medium texture (Cold Pressed) or “snowy” texture (snowy grain), in a variety of sheets and pads.
  • Suitable for all “Wet” techniques such as Watercolors, Tempera, and Acrylics.
