The Axagon PCEM2-DC expansion card adds two M.2 slots to a desktop computer via a PCIe 3.0 4-lane interface for connecting NVMe and SATA SSDs. Both drives can operate simultaneously, and the card supports single- or double-sided SSDs measuring 30 to 110 mm in length. Cooling combines a metal cover with a fan, a passive heatsink and thermal pads, while copper ventilation holes help dissipate heat.

The card supports booting from an SSD, offers Plug and Play functionality and requires no driver installation. It draws power directly from the PCIe bus, without an external power supply, and features a dual power supply system. Two blue LEDs indicate power or data transfer at the M.2 slots.
