The Axagon PCES-SA6 controller card adds six internal SATA III ports to a desktop computer, with transfer speeds of up to 6 Gb/s. It uses the ASMedia ASM1166 chipset and supports Hot Plug, NCQ, TRIM for SSDs, and Port Multiplier Command Based Switching.

It connects via a two-lane (x2) PCI-Express 3.0 bus and is compatible with PCIe x4, x8, and x16 slots, as well as PCI-Express versions 1.0a, 1.1, 2.0, and 2.1. It supports SATA I, SATA II, and SATA III devices, as well as Plug and Play. A low-profile bracket is included for installation in standard or low-profile computer cases.
