Oh, where to start with this book! First of all, YES, you were all right who kept bugging me to start it, it was wonderful! I loved the chemistry between the protagonists, the writing and the story flowed so beautifully, the kids on the hockey team were something else, I laughed, squealed, and fell in love with Nate! And of course, the spice was on another level ? Although I admit that Anastasia was quite unlikable to me in the first half of the book, Nate carried it, so we can overlook that.
~ A few words about the story
Anastasia has worked very hard in her life to get into UCMH and pairs figure skating. Nothing and no one will stand in the way of her dreams of going to the Olympics. Nate, the captain of the hockey team, is trying to lead his team perfectly in every game in his last year at university. After an incident with her partner, Anastasia will be forced to coexist and collaborate with what she hates the most: hockey players, and more specifically, the annoying captain of the team!
It was a wonderful romantic, love story that touched me, and I had a great time reading it! Even though it's a college romcom that I usually don't choose, it lacked nothing, and the romantic part was so well-written and lovely! I truly enjoyed it and will soon pick up the next one coming out, "Touch the Fire" from Klidarithmos publications!

▪️Style/Writing: Modern and quite direct with plenty of humor, many spicy scenes, and a story that builds gradually without tiring or dragging. From the start, the book doesn’t delay getting into the plot and the story develops quite quickly.
▫️Why I loved it: I really liked the balance between the romantic element and the personal development of the characters. Anastasia is not the "cliché-girl" you find in romance books, while Nate is a pretty grounded character given his position on the team. And of course... Aaron. Just no. Every scene with him was a personal challenge for me to keep my composure.
▪️Why you should read it: If you like lighter books, want to read a youthful romance with a sports background, a bit of drama (just enough to keep the story flowing), and plenty of spice.

▫️Λίγα λόγια για το βιβλίο: Το Icebreaker είναι μία ρομαντική ιστορία που διαδραματίζεται στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Καλιφόρνια. Η ιστορία αφορά την πρωταγωνίστριά μας Αναστάζια Άλεν και τον Νέιτ Χόκινς. Η Αναστάζια είναι μία αφοσιωμένη αθλήτρια του καλλιτεχνικού πατινάζ με βλέψεις για τους Ολυμπιακούς, ενώ ο Νέιτ ο αρχηγός της oµάδας χόκεϊ. Όταν όμως οι ομάδες τους αναγκάζονται να μοιραστούν το παγοδρόμιο, αρχίζει μια ιστορία γεμάτη ένταση, χιούμορ και (πολύ) χημεία.
▪️Ύφος/Γραφή βιβλίου: Μοντέρνο και αρκετά άμεσο με αρκετές δόσεις χιούμορ, πολλές spicy σκηνές με μια ιστορία που χτίζεται σταδιακά χωρίς να σε κουράζει ή να κάνει κοιλιά. Από την αρχή το βιβλίο δεν καθυστερεί να μπει στην υπόθεση και η ιστορία εξελίσσετε αρκετά γρήγορα.
▫️Γιατί το αγάπησα: Μου άρεσε πολύ η ισορροπία ανάμεσα στο ρομαντικό στοιχείο και την προσωπική εξέλιξη των χαρακτήρων. Η Αναστάζια δεν είναι το «κορίτσι-κλισέ» που συναντάς στα ρομαντικά βιβλία, ενώ ο Νέιτ είναι ένας αρκετά grounded χαρακτήρας δεδομένης της θέσης του στην ομάδα. Και φυσικά... ο Άαρον. Απλά όχι. Η κάθε του σκηνή ήταν για μένα ένα προσωπικό challenge να κρατήσω την ψυχραιμία μου.
▪️Γιατί να το διαβάσεις: Αν σου αρέσουν τα πιο ανάλαφρα βιβλία, θέλεις να διαβάσεις ένα νεανικό ρομάντζο με αθλητικό background, λίγο δράμα (τόσο όσο ώστε να κυλάει το βιβλίο) και αρκετό spice.

Oh, where to start with this book! First of all, YES, you were all right who kept bugging me to start it, it was wonderful! I loved the chemistry between the protagonists, the writing and the story flowed so beautifully, the kids on the hockey team were something else, I laughed, squealed, and fell in love with Nate! And of course, the spice was on another level ? Although I admit that Anastasia was quite unlikable to me in the first half of the book, Nate carried it, so we can overlook that.
~ A few words about the story
Anastasia has worked very hard in her life to get into UCMH and pairs figure skating. Nothing and no one will stand in the way of her dreams of going to the Olympics. Nate, the captain of the hockey team, is trying to lead his team perfectly in every game in his last year at university. After an incident with her partner, Anastasia will be forced to coexist and collaborate with what she hates the most: hockey players, and more specifically, the annoying captain of the team!
It was a wonderful romantic, love story that touched me, and I had a great time reading it! Even though it's a college romcom that I usually don't choose, it lacked nothing, and the romantic part was so well-written and lovely! I truly enjoyed it and will soon pick up the next one coming out, "Touch the Fire" from Klidarithmos publications!

Αχ από που να ξεκινήσω γι αυτό το βιβλίο! Αρχικά ΝΑΙ είχατε δίκιο όλοι όσοι με πρήζετε να το ξεκινήσω, ήταν υπέροχο! Αγάπησα τη χημεία των πρωταγωνιστων, η γραφή και η ιστορία κυλούσε τόσο όμορφα, τα παιδιά της ομάδας του χόκεϊ ήταν το κάτι άλλο, γέλασα, τσιριξα και ερωτεύτηκα τον Νέιτ! Και φυσικά το spice ηταν σε αλλο level ? Αν και ομολογώ πως η Ανασταζια στο πρώτο μισό του βιβλίου μου ήταν αρκετά αντιπαθής αλλά το σήκωσε ο Νέιτ οπότε το παραβλεπουμε

Η Ανασταζια έχει δουλέψει πολύ σκληρά στη ζωή της για να μπει στο UCMH και στο καλλιτεχνικό πατινάζ για ζευγάρια. Κανείς και τίποτα δεν θα σταθεί εμπόδιο στα όνειρα της να πάει στους Ολυμπιακους. Ο Νέιτ αρχηγός της ομάδας χόκεϊ, προσπαθεί να τα πάει τέλεια η ομάδα του σε κάθε αγώνα στο τελευταίο του χρόνο στο πανεπιστήμιο. Μετά από ένα συμβάν με τον παρτενέρ της, η Ανασταζια θα αναγκαστεί να συμβιωσει και να συνεργαστεί με αυτό που μισεί περισσότερο: τους παίκτες του χόκεϊ και πιο συγκεκριμένα τον αντιπαθή αρχηγό της ομάδας!
Ήταν μια υπέροχη ρομαντική, ερωτική ιστορία που με αγγιξε και πέρασα όμορφα διαβάζοντας την! Αν και college romcom που συνήθως δεν επιλεγω, αυτό δεν του έλειπε τίποτα και το ερωτικό κομμάτι ήταν τόσο καλογραμμένο και ωραίο! Το απόλαυσα πραγματικά και θα πιάσω σύντομα το επόμενο που κυκλοφορεί "Άγγιξε τη φωτιά " Από εκδόσεις Κλειδάριθμος!
