That particular morning, the life of Finlay, a divorced mother of two young children, truly resembles chaos: she is already late for her appointment with her agent, who is threatening her with contract cancellation, her ex-husband has fired the babysitter without her knowledge, and her five-year-old daughter suddenly decides to cut her own hair with the kitchen scissors. Later that same day, when a woman overhears Finlay discussing the plot of her new novel with her agent while they are dining at a restaurant, she thinks she is dealing with a professional assassin.
