I use it as a standalone installation (instead of a Bluetooth receiver) connected to a traditional sound system for streaming from Tidal. It connects both from the Wiim app and directly from Tidal. This little device, combined with the high bitrates provided by Tidal, delivers an excellent audio experience.
I can't comment on other services or the multiroom capabilities, because I don't use them.

It has nothing to envy from more expensive devices, provided that we connect it with an external DAC because its own is just okay... although this is something that will depend on the system it will be called to play. The little one is very good! Tidal on the laptop, it sees it directly and plays (Tidal connect)! Perfect streaming from laptop/mobile iPhone or Android. It definitely needs a DAC to enjoy its sound. I only have positive words for this little device! I have connected it to a pair of active speakers through the 3.5mm output, streaming Tidal, and I am thrilled. The accompanying app is really, really good. It truly solves your hands-on issues with Spotify and TuneIn. It takes a little getting used to with Tidal, but the sound quality compensates for it. The EQ it has is exceptional and helps you bring the speakers exactly where you want them. I believe that for anyone who has an old amplifier that is showing its age, this is the way to go, always taking into account the cost of acquisition.
εχω μονο θετικα λογια για αυτο το σκατουλακι! Το εχω συνδεσει με ενα ζεύγος ενεργων ηχείων μέσω της εξοδου 3.5mm streamαροντας tidal και εχω καταενθουσιαστει. Η εφαρμογη που το συνοδευει ειναι παρα μα παρα πολυ καλη . Στο spotify&tune in πραγματικα σου λυνει τα χερια . Στο tidal θελει λιγο συνηθεια αλλα το ηχητικο αποτελεσμα σε αποζημιώνει. Εξαιρετικο το EQ που έχει που σε βοηθάει να φέρεις τα ηχεία εκει που πραγματικά τα θες .Νομίζω πως για οποιονδήποτε εχει εναν παλιο ενισχυτη που πλεον δειχνει την ηλικια του ,αποτελει μονοδρομο ,πάντα λαμβάνοντας υπόψιν κ το θέμα κόστους αποκτησης .
The only thing that initially gave me trouble was getting it to show up on the network and be recognized by the Spotify app. It was quickly resolved without me fully understanding how!! Maybe it just needed time for all the devices on the network to see it. Either way, this only bothered me once. That's the only observation I have.
Other than that, what can I say!!!
Spotify connect, Tidal connect (something that not all devices that play Tidal have), internet radio.
10-band equalizer and mainly optical output. You connect it to an external DAC and... that's it. You stream Tidal and listen to CD-quality sound (and above), as HiFi as the DAC and the rest of your system allows.
Bit perfect, plays up to 192/24, gapless playback, easily plays files from the local network, has a very nice app, and many other features, with continuous software updates.
It doesn't have Chromecast, but I didn't miss it.
I didn't use the built-in DAC at all. I read that it's average. I would say it depends on what system you connect it to. If you connect it to a system worth over 500 euros, I would suggest considering an external DAC as well. If you want to use the line output, it's better to go for one of its bigger siblings (Wiim pro or Wiim pro plus).
Compared to the Chromecast Audio, which I also have, the difference is small through the optical output and in my opinion, in favor of the Wiim mini. I didn't compare the line outputs. I clearly prefer the Wiim mini.
The package of capabilities, flexibility, and ease of use is unbeatable for its price.
By playing around with the power supply (I use a mobile charger), I can hear a difference when using a better charger (in a system with a DAC, amplifier, and speakers in the range of 3000). At some point, I might try a better power supply.
Το μόνο που με δυσκόλεψε στην αρχή ήταν να φανεί στο δίκτυο και να το δει το app του Spotify. Λύθηκε γρήγορα χωρίς να πολυκατάλαβα το πώς!! Ισοσταθμίστης 10 περιοχών και κυρίως οπτική έξοδος. Το συνδέεις σε εξωτερικό DAC και …αυτό ήταν. Στριμάρεις Tidal και ακούς ήχο ποιότητας CD (και πάνω), τόσο HiFi όσο δίνει το DAC και το υπόλοιπο σύστημα σου.
Bit perfect, παίζει ως 192/24, gapless playback, παίζει εύκολα αρχεία από το τοπικό δίκτυο, έχει μια πολύ ωραία εφαρμογή και πολλά πολλά αλλά, με συνεχείς ενημερώσεις λογισμικού.
Δεν έχει chromecast, αλλά δε μου έλειψε.
Δεν χρησιμοποίησα καθόλου το ενσωματομενο DAC που έχει. Διαβάζω ότι είναι μέτριο. Θα έλεγα ότι έχει σχέση σε τι σύστημα θα το συνδέσει κανείς. Αν το συνδέσει σε σύστημα αξίας πάνω των 500 ευρώ, θα έλεγα να υπολογίσει ότι χρειάζεται και ένα εξωτερικό DAC. Αν θέλει να χρησιμοποιήσει την έξοδο γραμμής, καλύτερα να πάει σε ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα αδερφάκια του (Wiim pro, ή Wiim pro plus).
Σε σύγκριση με το chromecast audio, το οποίο επίσης έχω, μέσω της οπτικής εξόδου η διαφορά είναι μικρή και κατά τη γνώμη μου υπέρ του Wiim mini. Τις εξόδους γραμμής δεν τις σύγκρινα. Προτιμώ ξεκάθαρα το wiim mini.
Το πακέτο δυνατοτήτων, ευελιξίας και ευκολίας, είναι ασυναγώνιστο για την τιμή του.
Παίζοντας με την τροφοδοσία (χρησιμοποιώ κάποιον φορτιστή κινητού) ακούω διαφορά χρησιμοποιώντας καλύτερο φορτιστή (σε σύστημα dac, ενισχυτή, ηχείων της τάξης των 3000). Κάποια στιγμή ίσως δοκιμάσω ένα καλύτερο τροφοδοτικό.

Δεν έχει να ζηλέψει και πολλά από ακριβότερες συσκευές, με την προϋπόθεση ότι το συνδέουμε με εξωτερικό dac γιατί το δικό του είναι απλά οκ... αν και αυτό είναι κάτι που θα εξαρτηθεί από το σύστημα που θα κληθεί να παίξει.

The little one is very good! Tidal on the laptop, it sees it directly and plays (Tidal connect)! Perfect streaming from laptop/mobile iPhone or Android. It definitely needs a DAC to enjoy its sound. Very easy initial setup and the application has a very useful EQ that is handy. For its price, it is worth it.
Πάρα πολύ καλό το μικράκι! Το Tidal στο Laptop, το βλέπει κατευθείαν και παίζει (TIdal connect) ! Τέλειο streaming από laptop/κινητό Iphone ή Android. Χρειάζεται οπωσδήποτε DAC για να απολαύσει κανείς τον ήχο του. Πολύ εύκολο αρχικό setup και στην εφαρμογή έχει ένα πολύ χρήσιμο EQ που βολεύει.
Για τα χρήματα του, αξίζει.
I only have positive words for this little device! I have connected it to a pair of active speakers through the 3.5mm output, streaming Tidal, and I am thrilled. The accompanying app is really, really good. It truly solves your hands-on issues with Spotify and TuneIn. It takes a little getting used to with Tidal, but the sound quality compensates for it. The EQ it has is exceptional and helps you bring the speakers exactly where you want them. I believe that for anyone who has an old amplifier that is showing its age, this is the way to go, always taking into account the cost of acquisition.
εχω μονο θετικα λογια για αυτο το σκατουλακι! Το εχω συνδεσει με ενα ζεύγος ενεργων ηχείων μέσω της εξοδου 3.5mm streamαροντας tidal και εχω καταενθουσιαστει. Η εφαρμογη που το συνοδευει ειναι παρα μα παρα πολυ καλη . Στο spotify&tune in πραγματικα σου λυνει τα χερια . Στο tidal θελει λιγο συνηθεια αλλα το ηχητικο αποτελεσμα σε αποζημιώνει. Εξαιρετικο το EQ που έχει που σε βοηθάει να φέρεις τα ηχεία εκει που πραγματικά τα θες .Νομίζω πως για οποιονδήποτε εχει εναν παλιο ενισχυτη που πλεον δειχνει την ηλικια του ,αποτελει μονοδρομο ,πάντα λαμβάνοντας υπόψιν κ το θέμα κόστους αποκτησης .
The only thing that initially gave me trouble was getting it to show up on the network and be recognized by the Spotify app. It was quickly resolved without me fully understanding how!! Maybe it just needed time for all the devices on the network to see it. Either way, this only bothered me once. That's the only observation I have.
Other than that, what can I say!!!
Spotify connect, Tidal connect (something that not all devices that play Tidal have), internet radio.
10-band equalizer and mainly optical output. You connect it to an external DAC and... that's it. You stream Tidal and listen to CD-quality sound (and above), as HiFi as the DAC and the rest of your system allows.
Bit perfect, plays up to 192/24, gapless playback, easily plays files from the local network, has a very nice app, and many other features, with continuous software updates.
It doesn't have Chromecast, but I didn't miss it.
I didn't use the built-in DAC at all. I read that it's average. I would say it depends on what system you connect it to. If you connect it to a system worth over 500 euros, I would suggest considering an external DAC as well. If you want to use the line output, it's better to go for one of its bigger siblings (Wiim pro or Wiim pro plus).
Compared to the Chromecast Audio, which I also have, the difference is small through the optical output and in my opinion, in favor of the Wiim mini. I didn't compare the line outputs. I clearly prefer the Wiim mini.
The package of capabilities, flexibility, and ease of use is unbeatable for its price.
By playing around with the power supply (I use a mobile charger), I can hear a difference when using a better charger (in a system with a DAC, amplifier, and speakers in the range of 3000). At some point, I might try a better power supply.
Το μόνο που με δυσκόλεψε στην αρχή ήταν να φανεί στο δίκτυο και να το δει το app του Spotify. Λύθηκε γρήγορα χωρίς να πολυκατάλαβα το πώς!! Ίσως απλά να χρειαζόταν χρόνος για να το δουν όλες οι συσκευές του δικτύου. Όπως και να χει, αυτό με απασχόλησε μόνο μια φορά. Αυτό είναι και η μόνη παρατήρηση που έχω.

Spotify connect, Tidal connect (κατι που δε το έχουν πάντα οι συσκευές που παίζουν Tidal), internetικο ραδιόφωνο.
Ισοσταθμίστης 10 περιοχών και κυρίως οπτική έξοδος. Το συνδέεις σε εξωτερικό DAC και …αυτό ήταν. Στριμάρεις Tidal και ακούς ήχο ποιότητας CD (και πάνω), τόσο HiFi όσο δίνει το DAC και το υπόλοιπο σύστημα σου.
Bit perfect, παίζει ως 192/24, gapless playback, παίζει εύκολα αρχεία από το τοπικό δίκτυο, έχει μια πολύ ωραία εφαρμογή και πολλά πολλά αλλά, με συνεχείς ενημερώσεις λογισμικού.
Δεν έχει chromecast, αλλά δε μου έλειψε.
Δεν χρησιμοποίησα καθόλου το ενσωματομενο DAC που έχει. Διαβάζω ότι είναι μέτριο. Θα έλεγα ότι έχει σχέση σε τι σύστημα θα το συνδέσει κανείς. Αν το συνδέσει σε σύστημα αξίας πάνω των 500 ευρώ, θα έλεγα να υπολογίσει ότι χρειάζεται και ένα εξωτερικό DAC. Αν θέλει να χρησιμοποιήσει την έξοδο γραμμής, καλύτερα να πάει σε ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα αδερφάκια του (Wiim pro, ή Wiim pro plus).
Σε σύγκριση με το chromecast audio, το οποίο επίσης έχω, μέσω της οπτικής εξόδου η διαφορά είναι μικρή και κατά τη γνώμη μου υπέρ του Wiim mini. Τις εξόδους γραμμής δεν τις σύγκρινα. Προτιμώ ξεκάθαρα το wiim mini.
Το πακέτο δυνατοτήτων, ευελιξίας και ευκολίας, είναι ασυναγώνιστο για την τιμή του.
Παίζοντας με την τροφοδοσία (χρησιμοποιώ κάποιον φορτιστή κινητού) ακούω διαφορά χρησιμοποιώντας καλύτερο φορτιστή (σε σύστημα dac, ενισχυτή, ηχείων της τάξης των 3000). Κάποια στιγμή ίσως δοκιμάσω ένα καλύτερο τροφοδοτικό.
Excellent sound quality. Very easy to install, you just download the Wiim app and it finds it by itself and guides you through. I use it as a standalone installation (instead of a Bluetooth receiver) connected to a traditional sound system for streaming from Tidal. It connects both from the Wiim app and directly from Tidal. This little device, combined with the high bitrates provided by Tidal, delivers an excellent audio experience.
I can't comment on other services or the multiroom capabilities, because I don't use them.
Εξαιρετική ποιότητα ήχου. Πολύ εύκολο στην εγκατάσταση, απλώς κατεβάζεις το app της Wiim και το βρίσκει μόνο του και σε καθοδηγά. Το χρησιμοποιώ σε εγκαστάσταση μόνο του, (αντί για δέκτη bluetooth) συνδεδεμένο σε παραδοσιακό ηχοσύστημα για streaming από Tidal. Συνδέεται και από το app της Wiim, αλλά και απευθείας από το Tidal. Αυτό το εργαλειάκι, συνδυασμένο με τα ψηλά birates που παρέχει το Tidal, δίνει εξαιρετική εμπειρία ήχου.
Δεν μπορώ να σχολιάσω για άλλες υπηρεσίες, ούτε για τις multiroom ικανότητες, γιατί δεν τα χρησιμοποιώ.
Well, this little thing has impressed me; it streams music effortlessly, never lags, and generally completely changes the way you listen to music. Keep in mind that I have it connected to an external DAC, so I don't know how it behaves with its own. Also, it doesn't stream 24/192 from Apple Music, only up to CD quality, but still, it's a minor drawback for the convenience it offers
Λοιπόν με έχει εντυπωσιάσει αυτό το μικρό πραγματάκι στριμάρει μουσική απροβλημάτιστα δεν κολλάει ποτέ και γενικά αλλάζει τελείως τον τρόπο που ακούς μουσική ,υπόψιν ότι το έχω συνδέσει με εξωτερικό dac άρα δεν ξέρω πως συμπεριφέρεται με το δικό του Επίσης από Apple music δε στριμάρει 24/192 μόνο μέχρι ποιότητα cd αλλά και πάλι μικρό το κακό για την ευκολία που σου δίνει
a small miracle.... does many things (equaliser) and mainly streams correctly and seamlessly! an audio device that will fit into any system. It has nothing to envy from more expensive devices, provided that we connect it with an external DAC because its own is just okay... although this is something that will depend on the system it will be called to play. I recommend it.
ένα μικρό θαύμα.... κάνει πολλά πράγματα (equaliser) και κυρίως streamαρει σωστά και απρόσκοπτα! ένα audio παιχνίδι που θα ταιριάξει σε κάθε σύστημα.
