Meta Quest Pro, the first step into the Metaverse. Discover the Quest Pro, the first Meta model that combines virtual and augmented reality. The Meta headset features 10 sensors with hand, eye, and face tracking, as well as an IR depth sensor for Mixed Reality.

Only 5 of the cameras will be dedicated to face and eye tracking, in this way, facial expressions can be recorded and better reproduced on Metaverse avatars to improve communication in virtual environments.

Another new feature is the improvement of recognition technology with a clear enhancement in hand motion tracking, making interaction with menus and gameplay easier. One of the key features of the new Quest Pro headsets is the accompanying controllers, known as "Starlet," integrated with 3 infrared cameras and a Snapdragon 662 chip. They also have sensors to provide a tactile experience with high-quality reactive vibrations.

To achieve all these functions, a rechargeable base is included in the box. The Pancake lenses offer a more comprehensive field of view, unlike the Fresnel lenses of the Oculus Quest 2, with the lenses closer to the screen and a slimmer design, allowing for a lighter model and providing a more realistic view. Another way the Quest Pro will offer a wider field of view is the tilt of the screens, which are angled at 21 degrees to each other in the viewfinder.

The Quest Pro offers the most comfortable experience, allowing you to enjoy virtual reality wirelessly, wherever and whenever you decide, taking the best gaming experience wherever you want, to enjoy it with whoever you want, without limits.

As a user of this particular headset for the past year, my experience with it is quite good.
On the positive side, the pancake lenses. Simply flawless, huge sweet spot, no distortions, god rays, or mura effect. In 2025, anything else is outdated.
The screens are quite good, they don't have the highest resolution on the market, but they have very good color reproduction, better than the Quest 3, and the local dimming helps a lot in dark scenes.
It has eye tracking which in some games, unfortunately only a few, e.g. MS Flight Simulator, the foveated rendering it does helps a lot with performance.
The inside-out tracking and that of the controllers is flawless even in a dark room.
Quality construction with a docking charger that is extremely useful.
On the positive side, I would also add its "open" design. Although I initially had reservations, I ended up loving it. It doesn't cut you off from your environment, you can, for example, see the keyboard or your phone, and it's very comfortable to use if you wear glasses. I really won't go back to closed-type headsets.
The connectivity with the PC via Air Link, Steam Link, or wired is very good without gamebreaking artifacts, although for wireless connection, ideally, you need a router with WiFi6.
Now for the negatives. The passthrough is rubbish, hence the 3 stars. Literally, it's only useful for avoiding objects, that's it!!!
The second is of course its price. If you find it on offer for 100 to 200 Euros more than the Quest 3, grab it, otherwise go for the Quest 3.
In conclusion, it's a good to very good PCVR Headset, for standalone and mixed reality, one of the worst!!. Whether it's worth getting in 2025-26 depends on its price. If you find it at 700 to 800 euros, I think yes!
