In a fictional mountainous town in Arcadia, Magda Zeiri, the wife of the former mayor, maintains her influence, exerting authority with her imposing presence. At the same time, she reminisces about moments of glory and greatness, enjoying the admiration of a significant portion of the local population.
However, as the years go by, her constantly unwavering perception of herself as the guardian of morality, along with her deep belief that she is above everyone else, gives her the impression that the society in which she lives does not deserve her, resulting in her heart slowly growing cold. Thus, Magda, wanting to control the people, starts to weave a poisonous web, in which the entire town will be ensnared.
Ultimately, this divides the town into a small civil war, where the passions and enmities that were deeply buried within the souls of the people awaken. The River of a Thousand Blind is a work about the corruption of power, love, hatred, and the passions that persistently dominate people and societies.
With literary skill and penetrating insight, it shows us that human nature always confirms the highest and most tragic expectations... Is it easier to hate than to love? Is power such a strong drug? This book is a drama set in the mountains seeking the dawn.
