The RME Digiface AES is a professional external USB 2.0 audio interface, ideal for modern studios and live applications. It supports Windows, macOS, and iOS, offering excellent stability and outstanding digital precision. Flexible power options via USB or an external power supply, combined with its low weight of 880 grams, ensure reliable use in any working environment.

Extensive Digital & Analog Connectivity

The card provides a total of 14 inputs and 16 output channels, allowing all digital interfaces to be used simultaneously. It features AES/EBU connections via XLR, coaxial SPDIF via RCA, and optical SPDIF or ADAT. On the analog side, it offers 2 Mic/Line preamps with adjustable gain and 48 V phantom power, along with 2 XLR outputs and a 6.3 mm headphone output. Processing supports resolutions up to 24-bit / 192 kHz (with a maximum sample rate of 200 kHz), and includes a selectable Sample Rate Converter and MIDI I/O ports via a breakout cable.

Standalone Operation and TotalMix FX Control

Through the built-in TotalMix FX software, the device offers unlimited routing options, built-in EQ and full mixing to the physical outputs, with wireless control supported via TotalMix Remote. For use without a computer, it supports full standalone operation, with direct navigation using the built-in display, four buttons and rotary encoder. The internal memory stores up to 6 settings profiles, while power consumption remains as low as 3 W.
