Instructions for use and maintenance:

  • Use soap and warm water for rinsing and cleaning. Avoid using a dishwasher.
  • To prevent odors, sprinkle salt on the platter and scrub it with lemon.
  • To maintain the wood, treat it at least once a month with warm food-safe wood oil to close the wood's pores and protect its appearance. Apply the oil to the surface of the platter and allow it to absorb for 4-6 hours. Wipe off any excess oil with a clean, soft cloth.
  • To keep its smooth surface after extensive use, you can sand it with 60-120 grit sandpaper and repeat the oil treatment to close the pores again and protect the wood.
