Recovery narratives are known as an attempt to understand the experience of recovery from a chronic condition or illness. This book seeks to capture the perspectives of the individuals who are in the process of detoxification from psychoactive substances through their own narratives, without an attempt at analysis or criticism.

The purpose of the book is to present verbatim the words and experiences of people who have experienced substance use and addiction, and who, at this specific moment, are undergoing treatment.

The book is aimed at those who are interested in understanding the experience of addiction and detoxification through the words of the individuals who have lived this experience.
