Description

The XYH-6 X/Y capsule for H5, H6 provides two angled cardioid microphones for X/Y recording. This capsule adds two matched high-quality directional microphones that are more sensitive to signals coming directly from the front and less sensitive to signals coming from behind or the sides. They use a cardioid polar pattern. The stereo reproduction of X/Y tracks to a mono output offers a richer sound compared to using a single microphone, while the Mid-Side (MS) method may be a better choice in cases where mono compatibility is critical, such as in television production.
