The first 61 extensive entries of a new biographical dictionary of Byzantium, which is planned to be completed in the coming years with collective volumes of entries written by specialized researchers according to periods and historical scientific fields.

In addition to the biographies of emperors, patriarchs, and other ecclesiastical officials, military figures, significant administrative agents, and prominent claimants to the Byzantine throne throughout all Byzantine historical periods, the work also includes the biographies of many leading intellectual figures, historians, jurists, poets/hymnographers, artists, scientists, etc.
