The closing of the bin is based on a mechanism that works slowly and is perfect. I recommend being careful when opening with the foot to always have the pressure centered, otherwise it can easily break on the left or right of the "button," and this is based on experiences from other similar bins I have used in the past. To conclude, I believe this one will last many years!
