It is my fourth Garmin, coming from the Fenix 6 Pro. The watch is excellent. It is lighter, accurate in its measurements, and a huge plus for Garmin in my opinion is the Garmin Connect. It has taken a hit without getting a scratch, but it's good for someone to put a screen protector on it. I believe for people who exercise more than I do, it is an ideal purchase.

The biggest advantage of this watch is the navigation; you select a point on the map, and it guides you by choosing the most accessible route. It took me to a hidden beach in Ios where there was a path, but no one knew about it or how far it was. The watch accurately calculated the distance and with the navigation arrow, it took me there easily. I consider the OLED screen excessive for a watch and it drains the battery quickly; I would prefer it with MIP, which does the job just fine. I switched the watch face and menu to black and white, and the battery lasts much longer. Now, as a training watch, it's the best one can get for any sport; Garmin is miles ahead of all the other software available.

For several years, I owned the Garmin Venu 2 and Apple Watch, and after that, I tried the Amazfit GTS 4 and Amazfit Cheetah models, and finally ended up with this one.
I never really cared about using it as a SmartWatch, as I wanted it purely for my workouts and the PacePro function, to load routes and make NFC payments.
I have had the Garmin 965 for a week now, a week full of workouts both indoors and outdoors (walking, running, hiking, and summer swimming). I haven't had the chance to try hiking and swimming yet.
Overall, the packaging of the Garmin 965 compared to the Venu 2 is very simple and does not look like a premium model, considering its price range.
Regarding the battery: I have had it for a week already, and I haven't even done the first charge yet, and the battery still lasts (now it's at 21%). When I opened it, it wasn't at 100% and it also did the firmware update. The power cable is the one that Garmin devices have, but it's type C.
From the first day until now, it works during a 1:30-hour workout per day (e.g., yesterday, walking for 2:30 hours) and on Saturdays, a 25-minute run.
In terms of functions, I didn't expect it to have so many options.
It has 5 physical buttons (light) (up) (down) (back) (start/stop), besides these basic uses, you can program them and define what each one does.
It supports notifications in Greek during sports activities, so if you wear headphones and have the connection with your phone and not directly with your headphones, it transfers the notification directly to the headphones.
The strap is quite good in terms of feeling with the leather, it doesn't irritate me (even if I wear it tightly), and it feels quite lightweight.
Για αρκετά χρόνια ήμουν κάτοχος του Garmin Venu 2 και Apple Watch, μετά από αυτά δοκίμασα τα μοντέλα Amazfit GTS 4 και Amazfit Cheetah και τελικά κατέληξα σε αυτό.
Η χρήση σαν SmartWatch ποτέ δεν με ενδιέφερε καθώς το ήθελα καθαρά για τις προπονήσεις μου και την λειτουργία PacePro, να φορτώνω τις διαδρομές και πληρωμές με NFC.
Το Garmin 965 το έχω μια εβδομάδα, μια εβδομάδα φουλ προπονήσεις τόσο σε εσωτερικό χώρο αλλά και σε εξωτερικό χώρο (περπάτημα, τρέξιμο, πεζοπορία και καλοκαίρι κολύμβηση ) πεζοπορία - κολύμβηση δεν πρόλαβα να το δοκιμάσω ακόμα.
Γενικά, η συσκευασία του Garmin 965 σε σχέση με το Venu 2 είναι πολύ απλή και καθόλου δεν μοιάζει για premium μοντέλο, για αυτήν την κατηγορία χρημάτων.
Για την μπαταρία: Το έχω ήδη μια εβδομάδα, δεν του έχω κάνει ακόμα την πρώτη φόρτιση και η μπαταρία κρατάει ακόμα (τώρα είναι στο 21%). Όταν το άνοιξα δεν ήταν στο 100% και έκανε και το firmware update. Το καλώδιο ρεύματος είναι αυτό που έχουν τα Garmin αλλά σε type c.
Από την πρώτη μέρα μέχρι και τώρα, δουλεύει σε προπόνηση 1:30 ώρα την ημέρα, (π.χ χθες περπάτημα 2:30 ώρες) και το Σάββατο τρέξιμο στα 25λεπτά.
Στο θέμα των λειτουργιών, δεν περίμενα να έχει τόσες μα τόσες επιλογές.
Έχει 5 φυσικά πλήκτρα (light) (up) (down) (back) (start/stop) πέρα από αυτές τις βασικές χρήσης μπορείς να τα προγραμματίσεις και να ορίσεις τι θέλεις να κάνει το καθένα.
Υποστηρίζει ειδοποίηση στα Ελληνικά στις δραστηριότητες άθλησης, που αν φοράς ακουστικά και έχεις την σύνδεση με το κινητό και όχι απευθείας με τα ακουστικά σου μεταφέρει την ειδοποίηση κατευθείαν στα ακουστικά .
Το λουράκι του είναι αρκετά καλό στην αίσθηση με το δέρμα, σε εμένα δεν ερεθίσει (ακόμα και αν το έχω σφιχτά) και αρκετά ελαφρύ στην αίσθηση του.
Value for money watch, premium feel, large clear screen, plethora of measurements, large capacity for transferring playlists from Spotify, accuracy in measurements, overall a watch that is worth every penny. Measures breathing, stress, sleep quality, etc. I can't wait to go for a workout.
If you train intensively, don't settle for anything less, since you are giving yourself the gift of sports, give yourself the gift of a watch in this category.
I chose it in gray to be more neutral and wear it outside of training, although lime is very catchy.
Value for money ρολόι, premium αίσθηση, μεγάλη ευκρινής οθόνη, πληθώρα μετρήσεων, μεγάλη χωρητικότητα για μεταφορά playlists από το Spotify, ακρίβεια στις μετρήσεις, γενικά ένα ρολόι που αξίζει κάθε σεντ. Μέτρηση αναπνοής, στρες, ποιότητας ύπνου κ.α, ανυπομονώ να πηγαίνω για προπόνηση.
Αν προπονείστε εντατικά μη συμβιβαστείτε με κάτι λιγότερο, αφού κάνετε δώρο στον εαυτό σας τον αθλητισμό κάντε του δώρο και μιας τέτοιας κατηγορίας ρολόι.
Το επέλεξα σε γκρι για να είναι πιο ουδέτερο και να το φοράω κι εκτός προπόνησης, αν και το lime είναι πολύ catchy.
Amazing tool for those who want to improve their running (but also in other sports of course) and like numbers and generally the "scientific" approach to training. When you spend 600+ euros, you should take training relatively seriously; otherwise, there's no reason, there are many cheaper options! In summary, I've had it for almost 4 months now (purchased abroad) and I'm very satisfied. Its measurements are very accurate, at least those you would expect to be, like GPS, heart rate (HR) measurement, and HRV. The screen is amazing, it looks clear even in the blazing June sun (when you turn it to see it, it goes to maximum brightness). The heart rate measurement is a bit of a special case as it depends on each person's wrist; however, for me, it is surprisingly accurate (compared to a Polar HR strap). Until now, I always used the Polar strap with the Suunto I had before, as the HR measurement of the Suunto was completely useless, but with the 965, I don't need it. Of course, it shouldn't be loose at all; when I run, I tighten it one notch above normal, which is comfortable since the strap is elastic. What I haven't used is the maps, which are probably useful when you go on vacation and want to run (in which case, you must be very passionate, so you deserve this watch!)
Finally, it is quite stylish and looks relatively premium (but a bit less than the Fenix/Epix) to be worn all the time (and at work, for example) and very light and comfortable to sleep with (though the sleep measurements are largely guesses, but it keeps a representative picture of your sleep, on which it bases its suggestions for training intensity).
I've mainly used it for running, but also for workouts, where it recognizes basic exercises like pull-ups, push-ups, squats, deadlifts, sit-ups, etc., but it can't distinguish exercises with similar movements, like dips from push-ups. I've also swum 2-3 times with no issues.
The battery lasts 4-5 days with GPS at maximum accuracy (which always shows you on the correct side of the road!), but this is certainly helped by the fact that I have the always-on display and the brightness at 2/3 all day. I also play music when I run (from the watch, of course). I think you can download playlists from Spotify, etc.; I made a few from mp3s I downloaded. Without music, I've read it lasts about a week, but of course, it also depends on the frequency of use.
Anyway, I would need pages to go into details, but this is a very mature product without bugs (except for one time it stopped showing the weather forecast - which it gets via mobile - and I had to restart it) that won't disappoint anyone who gets it for training. I believe it is the best training watch on the market right now. Now, if you have other priorities and the money, get the Epix 2 or the Apple Watch.
EDIT 11/11/23: Since I see that many are viewing my review, let me add something that happened to me last week for the first time. Until now, the HRV measurement was very accurate and one of my favorite statistics to check every morning (yes, I am a bit of a nerd). And I say accurate because I have checked it with other devices and because always after a tough workout (let's say zone 4), the next morning it is lower compared to my average (60 instead of 70, for example). The other day after such a workout, I checked in the morning and it was 82 (instead of about 60 that I expected). I checked the graph and saw that there were quite a few time intervals without measurement (meaning a broken line). This means the quality of the measurement wasn't good as usual, even though I was wearing the watch correctly as always. The next morning the same, 81. And then I thought something was wrong with the sensor, I looked at it and saw that only one light was blinking normally and the other either not at all or with less intensity. I thought it was broken, but the first thing one tries in such cases is a classic reboot. I restarted the watch and bingo, both lights of the sensor were blinking normally. And that was the problem; since then, the HRV has returned to normal and of course, the graphs no longer have gaps. After that, I looked it up and it seems that this is a general advice for such devices (since they are also computers) to reboot relatively often. So if something seems to be going wrong, no panic, reboot!
Καταπληκτικό εργαλείο για όσους θέλουν να βελτιωθούν στο τρέξιμο (αλλά και σε άλλα αθλήματα φυσικά) και τους αρέσουν τα νούμερα και γενικά η "επιστημονική" προσέγγιση στην προπόνηση. Οταν δίνεις 600+ ευρώ πρέπει να παίρνεις σχετικά σοβαρά την προπόνηση, αλλιώς δεν υπάρχει λόγος, υπάρχουν πολλά φθηνότερα!
Σε περίληψη, το έχω κοντά 4 μήνες τώρα (αγορά στο εξωτερικό) και είμαι πολύ ευχαριστημένος. Οι μετρήσεις του είναι πολύ ακριβείς, τουλάχιστον αυτές που περιμένει κανείς να είναι, όπως το GPS, η μέτρηση παλμών (HR) και η HRV. Η οθόνη φοβερή, φαίνεται καθαρά ακόμα και σε ντάλα ήλιο Ιουνίου (όταν το γυρνάς για να το δεις οπότε και πάει σε μέγιστη φωτεινότητα). Η μέτρηση παλμών είναι λίγο ιδιαίτερη περίπτωση καθώς εξαρτάται από τον καρπό του καθενός, πάντως για μένα είναι ανέλπιστα ακριβής (συγκρινόμενη με ενα Polar HR strap). Μέχρι τώρα χρησιμοποιούσα το Polar strap πάντα με το Suunto που είχα πριν, καθώς η μέτρηση HR του Suunto ήταν εντελώς άχρηστη, αλλά με το 965 δεν το χρειάζομαι. Βέβαια δεν πρέπει να έχει λάσκα καθόλου, όταν τρέχω το σφίγγω μια θέση πιο πάνω από το κανονικό, πράγμα άνετο καθώς το λουράκι είναι ελαστικό. Αυτό που δεν έχω χρησιμοποιήσει είναι οι χάρτες που μάλλον είναι χρήσιμοι όταν πάτε διακοπές και θέλετε να τρέξετε (στην οποία περίπτωση μιλάμε πρέπει να είστε πολύ πορωμένοι άρα σας αξίζει αυτό το ρολόι!)
Τέλος είναι αρκετά κομψό και δείχνει σχετικά premium (αλλά λίγο λιγότερο από τα Fenix/Epix) για να φοριέται συνέχεια (και στη δουλειά πχ) και πολύ ελαφρύ και άνετο στον ύπνο (του οποίου οι μετρήσεις όμως είναι σε μεγάλο βαθμό μαντεψιές, αλλά πάνω κάτω κρατάει αντιπροσωπευτική εικόνα του ύπνου σου, στην οποία και βασίζει τις προτάσεις του για την ένταση της προπόνησης.
Το έχω χρησiμοποιήσει κυρίως για τρέξιμο, αλλά και για γυμναστική, όπου καταλαβαίνει τις βασικές ασκήσεις, όπως έλξεις, κάμψεις, βαθιά καθίσματα, dead lifts, κοιλιακούς κλπ, αλλά δε μπορεί να ξεχωρίσει ασκήσεις με παρόμοια κίνηση, όπως πχ τις βυθίσεις από τiς κάμψεις . Επίσης κολύμπησα 2-3 φορές και κανένα πρόβλημα.
Η μπαταρία κρατάει 4-5 μέρες με το GPS στην μέγιστη ακρίβεια (που σε δείχνει στη σωστή πλευρά του δρόμου πάντα!), αλλά σε αυτό σίγουρα συμβάλει αρκετά το ότι έχω την οθόνη always on και τη φωτεινότητα στα 2/3 όλη τη μέρα. Επίσης παίζω και μουσική όταν τρέχω (από το ρολόι βέβαια). Νομίζω μπορείς να κατεβάσεις playlists από spotify κλπ, εγώ έφτιαξα μερικές από mp3 που κατέβασα. Χωρίς μουσική έχω διαβάσει ότι πάει μια βδομάδα, εξαρτάται βέβαια και από τη συχνότητα της χρήσης.
Τέλως πάντων, θα χρειαζόμουν σελίδες για να μπώ σε λεπτομέρεις, αλλά πρόκειται για ένα πολύ ώριμο προιόν χωρίς bugs (αν εξαιρέσουμε μια φορά που σταμάτησε να δείχνει την πρόγνωση του καιρού - που την παίρνει μέσω κινητού - και χρειάστηκε να το επανακινήσω) που δε θα απογοητέψει κανένα που το παίρνει για προπόνηση. Πιστεύω πως είναι το καλύτερο ρολόι προπόνησης στην αγορά αυτή τη στιγμή. Τώρα αν έχετε άλλες προτεραιότητες και τα λεφτά, πάρτε το Epix 2, ή το Apple watch.
EDIT 11/11/23: Επειδή βλέπω ότι πολλοί βλέπουν την κριτική μου, να προσθέσω κάτι που μου συνέβη την προηγούμενη βδομάδα για πρώτη φορά. Μέχρι τώρα η μέτρηση HRV ήταν πολύ ακρβής και από τα αγαπημένα μου στατιστικά να τσεκάρω κάθε πρωί (ναι είμαι λίγο nerd). Και λέω ακριβής και γιατί την έχω τσεκάρει με άλλες συσκευές και γιατί πάντα μετά από μία δύσκολη προπόνηση (ας πούμε ζώνη 4), το επόμενο πρωί είναι πεσμένη σε σχέση με τον μέσο όρο μου (60 αντί για 70 ας πούμε). Τις προάλλες λοιπόν μετά από μια τέτοια προπόνηση βλέπω το πρωί και ήταν 82 (αντί για περίπου 60 που περίμενα). Tσεκάρω και το graph και βλέπω ότι είχε αρκετά χρονικά διαστήματα χωρίς μέτρηση (δηλαδή διακεκομμένη γραμμή). Δηλαδή η ποιότητα της μέτρησης δεν ήταν καλή όπως συνήθως, αν και φορούσα το ρολόι σωστά όπως πάντα. Το επόμενο πρωί το ίδιο, 81. Και τότε σκέφτηκα ότι κάτι δεν πάει καλά με τον σένσορα, τον κοιτάω και βλέπω ότι μόνο το ένα φωτάκι αναβόσβηνε κανονικά και το άλλο είτε καθόλου, είτε με μικρότερη ένταση. Σκέφτηκα χάλασε, αλλά το πρώτο πράγμα που προσπαθεί κανείς σε τέτοιες περιπτώσεις είναι ενα κλασικό reboot. Επανακίνησα το ρολόι και bingo, τα δυό φωτάκια του σένσορα αναβόσβηναν κανονικά. Και αυτό ήταν το πρόβλημα, από τότε η HRV έχει επανέλθει στα φυσιολογικά και βέβαια τα graphs δεν έχουν πλέον κενά. Μετά το έψαξα και φαίνεται ότι αυτή είναι μια γενική συμβουλή για τέτοιιου είδους συσκευές (καθότι είναι και αυτές υπολογιστές) να επανακινεί κανείς σχετικά συχνά. Αρα άμα κάτι φαίνεται ότι δεν πάει καλά, no panic, reboot!

Γενικά, η συσκευασία του Garmin 965 σε σχέση με το Venu 2 είναι πολύ απλή και καθόλου δεν μοιάζει για premium μοντέλο, για αυτήν την κατηγορία χρημάτων.
Για την μπαταρία: Το έχω ήδη μια εβδομάδα, δεν του έχω κάνει ακόμα την πρώτη φόρτιση και η μπαταρία κρατάει ακόμα (τώρα είναι στο 21%). Όταν το άνοιξα δεν ήταν στο 100% και έκανε και το firmware update. Το καλώδιο ρεύματος είναι αυτό που έχουν τα Garmin αλλά σε type c.
Από την πρώτη μέρα μέχρι και τώρα, δουλεύει σε προπόνηση 1:30 ώρα την ημέρα, (π.χ χθες περπάτημα 2:30 ώρες) και το Σάββατο τρέξιμο στα 25λεπτά.
Στο θέμα των λειτουργιών, δεν περίμενα να έχει τόσες μα τόσες επιλογές.

Υποστηρίζει ειδοποίηση στα Ελληνικά στις δραστηριότητες άθλησης, που αν φοράς ακουστικά και έχεις την σύνδεση με το κινητό και όχι απευθείας με τα ακουστικά σου μεταφέρει την ειδοποίηση κατευθείαν στα ακουστικά .
Το λουράκι του είναι αρκετά καλό στην αίσθηση με το δέρμα, σε εμένα δεν ερεθίσει (ακόμα και αν το έχω σφιχτά) και αρκετά ελαφρύ στην αίσθηση του.
Value for money watch, premium feel, large clear screen, plethora of measurements, large capacity for transferring playlists from Spotify, accuracy in measurements, overall a watch that is worth every penny. Measures breathing, stress, sleep quality, etc. I can't wait to go for a workout.

It is my fourth Garmin, coming from the Fenix 6 Pro. The watch is excellent. It is lighter, accurate in its measurements, and a huge plus for Garmin in my opinion is the Garmin Connect. It has taken a hit without getting a scratch, but it's good for someone to put a screen protector on it. I believe for people who exercise more than I do, it is an ideal purchase.

The biggest advantage of this watch is the navigation; you select a point on the map, and it guides you by choosing the most accessible route. It took me to a hidden beach in Ios where there was a path, but no one knew about it or how far it was. The watch accurately calculated the distance and with the navigation arrow, it took me there easily. I consider the OLED screen excessive for a watch and it drains the battery quickly; I would prefer it with MIP, which does the job just fine. I switched the watch face and menu to black and white, and the battery lasts much longer. Now, as a training watch, it's the best one can get for any sport; Garmin is miles ahead of all the other software available.

For several years, I owned the Garmin Venu 2 and Apple Watch, and after that, I tried the Amazfit GTS 4 and Amazfit Cheetah models, and finally ended up with this one.
I never really cared about using it as a SmartWatch, as I wanted it purely for my workouts and the PacePro function, to load routes and make NFC payments.
I have had the Garmin 965 for a week now, a week full of workouts both indoors and outdoors (walking, running, hiking, and summer swimming). I haven't had the chance to try hiking and swimming yet.
Overall, the packaging of the Garmin 965 compared to the Venu 2 is very simple and does not look like a premium model, considering its price range.
Regarding the battery: I have had it for a week already, and I haven't even done the first charge yet, and the battery still lasts (now it's at 21%). When I opened it, it wasn't at 100% and it also did the firmware update. The power cable is the one that Garmin devices have, but it's type C.

Amazing tool for those who want to improve their running (but also in other sports of course) and like numbers and generally the "scientific" approach to training. When you spend 600+ euros, you should take training relatively seriously; otherwise, there's no reason, there are many cheaper options! In summary, I've had it for almost 4 months now (purchased abroad) and I'm very satisfied. Its measurements are very accurate, at least those you would expect to be, like GPS, heart rate (HR) measurement, and HRV. The screen is amazing, it looks clear even in the blazing June sun (when you turn it to see it, it goes to maximum brightness). The heart rate measurement is a bit of a special case as it depends on each person's wrist; however, for me, it is surprisingly accurate (compared to a Polar HR strap). Until now, I always used the Polar strap with the Suunto I had before, as the HR measurement of the Suunto was completely useless, but with the 965, I don't need it. Of course, it shouldn't be loose at all; when I run, I tighten it one notch above normal, which is comfortable since the strap is elastic. What I haven't used is the maps, which are probably useful when you go on vacation and want to run (in which case, you must be very passionate, so you deserve this watch!)
Finally, it is quite stylish and looks relatively premium (but a bit less than the Fenix/Epix) to be worn all the time (and at work, for example) and very light and comfortable to sleep with (though the sleep measurements are largely guesses, but it keeps a representative picture of your sleep, on which it bases its suggestions for training intensity).
I've mainly used it for running, but also for workouts, where it recognizes basic exercises like pull-ups, push-ups, squats, deadlifts, sit-ups, etc., but it can't distinguish exercises with similar movements, like dips from push-ups. I've also swum 2-3 times with no issues.
The battery lasts 4-5 days with GPS at maximum accuracy (which always shows you on the correct side of the road!), but this is certainly helped by the fact that I have the always-on display and the brightness at 2/3 all day. I also play music when I run (from the watch, of course). I think you can download playlists from Spotify, etc.; I made a few from mp3s I downloaded. Without music, I've read it lasts about a week, but of course, it also depends on the frequency of use.
Anyway, I would need pages to go into details, but this is a very mature product without bugs (except for one time it stopped showing the weather forecast - which it gets via mobile - and I had to restart it) that won't disappoint anyone who gets it for training. I believe it is the best training watch on the market right now. Now, if you have other priorities and the money, get the Epix 2 or the Apple Watch.
EDIT 11/11/23: Since I see that many are viewing my review, let me add something that happened to me last week for the first time. Until now, the HRV measurement was very accurate and one of my favorite statistics to check every morning (yes, I am a bit of a nerd). And I say accurate because I have checked it with other devices and because always after a tough workout (let's say zone 4), the next morning it is lower compared to my average (60 instead of 70, for example). The other day after such a workout, I checked in the morning and it was 82 (instead of about 60 that I expected). I checked the graph and saw that there were quite a few time intervals without measurement (meaning a broken line). This means the quality of the measurement wasn't good as usual, even though I was wearing the watch correctly as always. The next morning the same, 81. And then I thought something was wrong with the sensor, I looked at it and saw that only one light was blinking normally and the other either not at all or with less intensity. I thought it was broken, but the first thing one tries in such cases is a classic reboot. I restarted the watch and bingo, both lights of the sensor were blinking normally. And that was the problem; since then, the HRV has returned to normal and of course, the graphs no longer have gaps. After that, I looked it up and it seems that this is a general advice for such devices (since they are also computers) to reboot relatively often. So if something seems to be going wrong, no panic, reboot!
Καταπληκτικό εργαλείο για όσους θέλουν να βελτιωθούν στο τρέξιμο (αλλά και σε άλλα αθλήματα φυσικά) και τους αρέσουν τα νούμερα και γενικά η "επιστημονική" προσέγγιση στην προπόνηση. Οταν δίνεις 600+ ευρώ πρέπει να παίρνεις σχετικά σοβαρά την προπόνηση, αλλιώς δεν υπάρχει λόγος, υπάρχουν πολλά φθηνότερα!
Σε περίληψη, το έχω κοντά 4 μήνες τώρα (αγορά στο εξωτερικό) και είμαι πολύ ευχαριστημένος. Οι μετρήσεις του είναι πολύ ακριβείς, τουλάχιστον αυτές που περιμένει κανείς να είναι, όπως το GPS, η μέτρηση παλμών (HR) και η HRV. Η οθόνη φοβερή, φαίνεται καθαρά ακόμα και σε ντάλα ήλιο Ιουνίου (όταν το γυρνάς για να το δεις οπότε και πάει σε μέγιστη φωτεινότητα). Η μέτρηση παλμών είναι λίγο ιδιαίτερη περίπτωση καθώς εξαρτάται από τον καρπό του καθενός, πάντως για μένα είναι ανέλπιστα ακριβής (συγκρινόμενη με ενα Polar HR strap). Μέχρι τώρα χρησιμοποιούσα το Polar strap πάντα με το Suunto που είχα πριν, καθώς η μέτρηση HR του Suunto ήταν εντελώς άχρηστη, αλλά με το 965 δεν το χρειάζομαι. Βέβαια δεν πρέπει να έχει λάσκα καθόλου, όταν τρέχω το σφίγγω μια θέση πιο πάνω από το κανονικό, πράγμα άνετο καθώς το λουράκι είναι ελαστικό. Αυτό που δεν έχω χρησιμοποιήσει είναι οι χάρτες που μάλλον είναι χρήσιμοι όταν πάτε διακοπές και θέλετε να τρέξετε (στην οποία περίπτωση μιλάμε πρέπει να είστε πολύ πορωμένοι άρα σας αξίζει αυτό το ρολόι!)
Τέλος είναι αρκετά κομψό και δείχνει σχετικά premium (αλλά λίγο λιγότερο από τα Fenix/Epix) για να φοριέται συνέχεια (και στη δουλειά πχ) και πολύ ελαφρύ και άνετο στον ύπνο (του οποίου οι μετρήσεις όμως είναι σε μεγάλο βαθμό μαντεψιές, αλλά πάνω κάτω κρατάει αντιπροσωπευτική εικόνα του ύπνου σου, στην οποία και βασίζει τις προτάσεις του για την ένταση της προπόνησης.
Το έχω χρησiμοποιήσει κυρίως για τρέξιμο, αλλά και για γυμναστική, όπου καταλαβαίνει τις βασικές ασκήσεις, όπως έλξεις, κάμψεις, βαθιά καθίσματα, dead lifts, κοιλιακούς κλπ, αλλά δε μπορεί να ξεχωρίσει ασκήσεις με παρόμοια κίνηση, όπως πχ τις βυθίσεις από τiς κάμψεις . Επίσης κολύμπησα 2-3 φορές και κανένα πρόβλημα.
Η μπαταρία κρατάει 4-5 μέρες με το GPS στην μέγιστη ακρίβεια (που σε δείχνει στη σωστή πλευρά του δρόμου πάντα!), αλλά σε αυτό σίγουρα συμβάλει αρκετά το ότι έχω την οθόνη always on και τη φωτεινότητα στα 2/3 όλη τη μέρα. Επίσης παίζω και μουσική όταν τρέχω (από το ρολόι βέβαια). Νομίζω μπορείς να κατεβάσεις playlists από spotify κλπ, εγώ έφτιαξα μερικές από mp3 που κατέβασα. Χωρίς μουσική έχω διαβάσει ότι πάει μια βδομάδα, εξαρτάται βέβαια και από τη συχνότητα της χρήσης.
Τέλως πάντων, θα χρειαζόμουν σελίδες για να μπώ σε λεπτομέρεις, αλλά πρόκειται για ένα πολύ ώριμο προιόν χωρίς bugs (αν εξαιρέσουμε μια φορά που σταμάτησε να δείχνει την πρόγνωση του καιρού - που την παίρνει μέσω κινητού - και χρειάστηκε να το επανακινήσω) που δε θα απογοητέψει κανένα που το παίρνει για προπόνηση. Πιστεύω πως είναι το καλύτερο ρολόι προπόνησης στην αγορά αυτή τη στιγμή. Τώρα αν έχετε άλλες προτεραιότητες και τα λεφτά, πάρτε το Epix 2, ή το Apple watch.
EDIT 11/11/23: Επειδή βλέπω ότι πολλοί βλέπουν την κριτική μου, να προσθέσω κάτι που μου συνέβη την προηγούμενη βδομάδα για πρώτη φορά. Μέχρι τώρα η μέτρηση HRV ήταν πολύ ακρβής και από τα αγαπημένα μου στατιστικά να τσεκάρω κάθε πρωί (ναι είμαι λίγο nerd). Και λέω ακριβής και γιατί την έχω τσεκάρει με άλλες συσκευές και γιατί πάντα μετά από μία δύσκολη προπόνηση (ας πούμε ζώνη 4), το επόμενο πρωί είναι πεσμένη σε σχέση με τον μέσο όρο μου (60 αντί για 70 ας πούμε). Τις προάλλες λοιπόν μετά από μια τέτοια προπόνηση βλέπω το πρωί και ήταν 82 (αντί για περίπου 60 που περίμενα). Tσεκάρω και το graph και βλέπω ότι είχε αρκετά χρονικά διαστήματα χωρίς μέτρηση (δηλαδή διακεκομμένη γραμμή). Δηλαδή η ποιότητα της μέτρησης δεν ήταν καλή όπως συνήθως, αν και φορούσα το ρολόι σωστά όπως πάντα. Το επόμενο πρωί το ίδιο, 81. Και τότε σκέφτηκα ότι κάτι δεν πάει καλά με τον σένσορα, τον κοιτάω και βλέπω ότι μόνο το ένα φωτάκι αναβόσβηνε κανονικά και το άλλο είτε καθόλου, είτε με μικρότερη ένταση. Σκέφτηκα χάλασε, αλλά το πρώτο πράγμα που προσπαθεί κανείς σε τέτοιες περιπτώσεις είναι ενα κλασικό reboot. Επανακίνησα το ρολόι και bingo, τα δυό φωτάκια του σένσορα αναβόσβηναν κανονικά. Και αυτό ήταν το πρόβλημα, από τότε η HRV έχει επανέλθει στα φυσιολογικά και βέβαια τα graphs δεν έχουν πλέον κενά. It is my fourth Garmin, coming from the Fenix 6 Pro. The watch is excellent. It is lighter, accurate in its measurements, and a huge plus for Garmin in my opinion is the Garmin Connect. It has taken a hit without getting a scratch, but it's good for someone to put a screen protector on it. I believe for people who exercise more than I do, it is an ideal purchase.
Είναι τέταρτο garmin προερχόμενος από Fenix 6 pro. Το ρολόι είναι εξαιρετικό. Είναι πιο ελαφρύ είναι ακριβές στις μετρήσεις τεράστιο συν στο garmin θεωρώ το garmin connect. Εχει φάει χτύπημα χωρίς να πάθει γρατζουνιά καλό είναι όμως να βάλει κάποιος ένα τζαμάκι. Θεωρώ για ανθρώπους που αθλούνται περισσότερο από μένα είναι μια ιδανική αγορά.

1.4'' screen in a 47mm case makes it more compact and low-profile, which will suit those with small wrists. The biggest advantage of this watch is the navigation; you select a point on the map, and it guides you by choosing the most accessible route. It took me to a hidden beach in Ios where there was a path, but no one knew about it or how far it was. The watch accurately calculated the distance and with the navigation arrow, it took me there easily. I consider the OLED screen excessive for a watch and it drains the battery quickly; I would prefer it with MIP, which does the job just fine. I switched the watch face and menu to black and white, and the battery lasts much longer. Now, as a training watch, it's the best one can get for any sport; Garmin is miles ahead of all the other software available.
1,4'' οθόνη σε 47αρα κάσα το κάνει πιο compact χαμηλού προφίλ θα βολέψει αυτούς με μικρό καρπό .Το μεγαλύτερο πλεονέκτημα του συγκεκριμένου ρολογιού η πλοήγηση ,επιλέγεις ένα σημείο στην χάρτη και σε καθοδηγεί επιλέγοντας την πιο βατή διαδρομή ,με έβγαλε σε κρυφή παραλία στην Ίο που υπήρχε μεν ένα μονοπάτι αλλά δεν το ήξερε κανένας ούτε πόσο μακριά ήταν ,το ρολόι μου έβγαλε κανονικά την απόσταση και με τοξάκι πλοήγησης με πήγε με ευκολία .Την oled οθόνη την θεωρώ υπερβολή για ρολόι και καταναλώνει γρήγορα την μπαταρία θα το προτιμούσα με MIP που κάνεις τη δουλειά σου μια χαρά.Γύρισα το watch face και το μενού στο μαυρόασπρο και η μπαταρία κρατάει πολύ παραπάνω .τώρα σαν προπονητικό ρολόι είναι ότι καλύτερο μπορεί να πάρει κανείς σε ότι άθλημα κάνει η garmin είναι μίλια μπροστά από όλα τα άλλα SW που κυκλοφορούν .
For several years, I owned the Garmin Venu 2 and Apple Watch, and after that, I tried the Amazfit GTS 4 and Amazfit Cheetah models, and finally ended up with this one.
I never really cared about using it as a SmartWatch, as I wanted it purely for my workouts and the PacePro function, to load routes and make NFC payments.
I have had the Garmin 965 for a week now, a week full of workouts both indoors and outdoors (walking, running, hiking, and summer swimming). I haven't had the chance to try hiking and swimming yet.
Overall, the packaging of the Garmin 965 compared to the Venu 2 is very simple and does not look like a premium model, considering its price range.
Regarding the battery: I have had it for a week already, and I haven't even done the first charge yet, and the battery still lasts (now it's at 21%). When I opened it, it wasn't at 100% and it also did the firmware update. The power cable is the one that Garmin devices have, but it's type C.
From the first day until now, it works during a 1:30-hour workout per day (e.g., yesterday, walking for 2:30 hours) and on Saturdays, a 25-minute run.
In terms of functions, I didn't expect it to have so many options.
It has 5 physical buttons (light) (up) (down) (back) (start/stop), besides these basic uses, you can program them and define what each one does.
It supports notifications in Greek during sports activities, so if you wear headphones and have the connection with your phone and not directly with your headphones, it transfers the notification directly to the headphones.
The strap is quite good in terms of feeling with the leather, it doesn't irritate me (even if I wear it tightly), and it feels quite lightweight.
Για αρκετά χρόνια ήμουν κάτοχος του Garmin Venu 2 και Apple Watch, μετά από αυτά δοκίμασα τα μοντέλα Amazfit GTS 4 και Amazfit Cheetah και τελικά κατέληξα σε αυτό.
Η χρήση σαν SmartWatch ποτέ δεν με ενδιέφερε καθώς το ήθελα καθαρά για τις προπονήσεις μου και την λειτουργία PacePro, να φορτώνω τις διαδρομές και πληρωμές με NFC.
Το Garmin 965 το έχω μια εβδομάδα, μια εβδομάδα φουλ προπονήσεις τόσο σε εσωτερικό χώρο αλλά και σε εξωτερικό χώρο (περπάτημα, τρέξιμο, πεζοπορία και καλοκαίρι κολύμβηση ) πεζοπορία - κολύμβηση δεν πρόλαβα να το δοκιμάσω ακόμα.
Γενικά, η συσκευασία του Garmin 965 σε σχέση με το Venu 2 είναι πολύ απλή και καθόλου δεν μοιάζει για premium μοντέλο, για αυτήν την κατηγορία χρημάτων.
Για την μπαταρία: Το έχω ήδη μια εβδομάδα, δεν του έχω κάνει ακόμα την πρώτη φόρτιση και η μπαταρία κρατάει ακόμα (τώρα είναι στο 21%). Όταν το άνοιξα δεν ήταν στο 100% και έκανε και το firmware update. Το καλώδιο ρεύματος είναι αυτό που έχουν τα Garmin αλλά σε type c.
Από την πρώτη μέρα μέχρι και τώρα, δουλεύει σε προπόνηση 1:30 ώρα την ημέρα, (π.χ χθες περπάτημα 2:30 ώρες) και το Σάββατο τρέξιμο στα 25λεπτά.
Στο θέμα των λειτουργιών, δεν περίμενα να έχει τόσες μα τόσες επιλογές.
Έχει 5 φυσικά πλήκτρα (light) (up) (down) (back) (start/stop) πέρα από αυτές τις βασικές χρήσης μπορείς να τα προγραμματίσεις και να ορίσεις τι θέλεις να κάνει το καθένα.
Υποστηρίζει ειδοποίηση στα Ελληνικά στις δραστηριότητες άθλησης, που αν φοράς ακουστικά και έχεις την σύνδεση με το κινητό και όχι απευθείας με τα ακουστικά σου μεταφέρει την ειδοποίηση κατευθείαν στα ακουστικά .
Το λουράκι του είναι αρκετά καλό στην αίσθηση με το δέρμα, σε εμένα δεν ερεθίσει (ακόμα και αν το έχω σφιχτά) και αρκετά ελαφρύ στην αίσθηση του.
Value for money watch, premium feel, large clear screen, plethora of measurements, large capacity for transferring playlists from Spotify, accuracy in measurements, overall a watch that is worth every penny. Measures breathing, stress, sleep quality, etc. I can't wait to go for a workout.
If you train intensively, don't settle for anything less, since you are giving yourself the gift of sports, give yourself the gift of a watch in this category.
I chose it in gray to be more neutral and wear it outside of training, although lime is very catchy.
Value for money ρολόι, premium αίσθηση, μεγάλη ευκρινής οθόνη, πληθώρα μετρήσεων, μεγάλη χωρητικότητα για μεταφορά playlists από το Spotify, ακρίβεια στις μετρήσεις, γενικά ένα ρολόι που αξίζει κάθε σεντ. Μέτρηση αναπνοής, στρες, ποιότητας ύπνου κ.α, ανυπομονώ να πηγαίνω για προπόνηση.
Αν προπονείστε εντατικά μη συμβιβαστείτε με κάτι λιγότερο, αφού κάνετε δώρο στον εαυτό σας τον αθλητισμό κάντε του δώρο και μιας τέτοιας κατηγορίας ρολόι.
Το επέλεξα σε γκρι για να είναι πιο ουδέτερο και να το φοράω κι εκτός προπόνησης, αν και το lime είναι πολύ catchy.
