The product description does not mention that it cannot operate with another/other brand/3rd-party router. This only becomes apparent after the user installs the app and sees its operating modes (it only works as a router, not as an access point as it is named/sold when you have another router). It was connected normally via ethernet cable to the router and still access point mode is not allowed, it simply creates another different wifi ssid.

Excellent, definitely worth the money!! I got the triple kit + the outdoor to cover an area of 400 sq.m. in a complex of stone houses on an island (with 60cm thick stone walls!) and they do an amazing job!! We have good internet in all 4 houses and the surrounding areas (24 Mbps line) and to think that the outdoor unit, which is the source, was installed outside the house, in the same position as the router inside - it feeds the other three decos in a chain, it is 100 meters away from the first house and as I mentioned before, there are stone walls and other obstacles in between!! It has not yet been tested in the rain!

Πήρα το τριπλό κιτ + το outdoor για να με καλύψουν για έκταση 400τ.μ. σε συγκρότημα πέτρινων κατοικιών σε νησί (με 60εκ. πάχος πέτρας οι τοίχοι!) και κάνουν φοβερή δουλειά!! Έχουμε καλό ίντερνετ και στα 4 σπίτια κ τους περιβάλλοντες χώρους (24αρα γραμμή) και να σκεφτεί κανείς ότι το outdoor που είναι η πηγή - τοποθετήθηκε εξωτερικά του σπιτιού , στην ίδια θέση από μεσα ειναι το router- αλυσιδωτά τροφοδοτεί τα υπόλοιπα τρία deco, απέχει 100 μέτρα από το πρώτο σπίτι και όπως προείπα υπάρχουν πέτρινοι τοίχοι και άλλα εμπόδια ενδιάμεσα!! Very stable.
It does its job perfectly, without disconnections and fluctuations in speed.
I have measured it at a distance of 60 meters, without walls in between, and the speed is the same as the router speed, 100 Mbps.
I have placed it connected with a cable externally on a pipe base that I screwed under the balcony of the building, so it has extra protection against rain, hail, and snow.
I hope it lasts over time, because with some previous models, after 2-3 years, they had many problems.
If needed, I will return.

Το έχω μετρήσει σε απόσταση 60 μέτρων, δίχως τοίχους ανάμεσα και η ταχύτητα είναι όση η ταχύτητα του router, 100 Mbps.
Το έχω τοποθετήσει συνδεδεμένο με καλώδιο εξωτερικά σε μια βάση-σωλήνα που βίδωσα κάτω από το μπαλκόνι της οικοδομής, ώστε να έχει και μια επιπλέον προστασία, όσον αφορά την βροχή, το χαλάζι, και το χιόνι.
Ελπίζω να έχει και διάρκεια στο χρόνο, γιατί με κάποια προγενέστερα μοντέλα, μετά από 2-3 χρόνια, παρουσίασαν πολλά προβλήματα.
Αν χρειαστεί θα επανέλθω.
I wasn't thrilled with its range. Very easy to install and the mesh capability is very nice (the reason I got it). The remote control feature is interesting. I consider it relatively expensive for its hardware capabilities, but the software somewhat justifies the cost

Συνδέθηκε κανονικά μέσω ethernet cable στον router και πάλι δεν επιτρέπεται η λειτουργία access point, απλά δημιουργεί ένα άλλο διαφορετικό wifi ssid.
Excellent, definitely worth the money!! I got the triple kit + the outdoor to cover an area of 400 sq.m. in a complex of stone houses on an island (with 60cm thick stone walls!) and they do an amazing job!! We have good internet in all 4 houses and the surrounding areas (24 Mbps line) and to think that the outdoor unit, which is the source, was installed outside the house, in the same position as the router inside - it feeds the other three decos in a chain, it is 100 meters away from the first house and as I mentioned before, there are stone walls and other obstacles in between!! It has not yet been tested in the rain!
Εξαιρετικό, σίγουρα αξίζει τα χρήματα του!! Πήρα το τριπλό κιτ + το outdoor για να με καλύψουν για έκταση 400τ.μ. σε συγκρότημα πέτρινων κατοικιών σε νησί (με 60εκ. πάχος πέτρας οι τοίχοι!) και κάνουν φοβερή δουλειά!! Έχουμε καλό ίντερνετ και στα 4 σπίτια κ τους περιβάλλοντες χώρους (24αρα γραμμή) και να σκεφτεί κανείς ότι το outdoor που είναι η πηγή - τοποθετήθηκε εξωτερικά του σπιτιού , στην ίδια θέση από μεσα ειναι το router- αλυσιδωτά τροφοδοτεί τα υπόλοιπα τρία deco, απέχει 100 μέτρα από το πρώτο σπίτι και όπως προείπα υπάρχουν πέτρινοι τοίχοι και άλλα εμπόδια ενδιάμεσα!! Δεν έχει δοκιμαστεί ακόμα με βροχή!
The Tp-Link Deco X50 Outdoor is a very good choice if you want to set up WiFi outside your house. I would definitely recommend it for shops as well. Check out the video I have uploaded here on Skroutz where I talk in more detail about the product.
Το Tp-Link Deco X50 Outdoor είναι μια πολύ καλή επιλογή αν θέλεις να φτιάξεις το WiFi έξω από το σπίτι σου. Σίγουρα θα το πρότεινα και σε μαγαζιά. Δες το βίντεο που έχω ανεβάσει εδώ στο Skroutz που μιλάω πιο αναλυτικά για το προϊόν.
Easy installation and connection with the deco system. Waterproof, stable with minimal disconnections. The biggest drawback is its range, which is in no way satisfactory. It is not worth the money at all.
I installed an indoor deco and it has better range than the outdoor one.
Εύκολη εγκατάσταση και σύνδεση με το σύστημα deco. Αδιάβροχο, Σταθερότητα με ελάχιστες αποσυνδέσεις. Το μεγαλύτερο μειονέκτημα η εμβέλεια του που σε καμία περίπτωση δεν είναι ικανοποιητική. Δεν αξίζει τα λεφτά του σε καμία περίπτωση.
Εβαλα εσωτερικό deco και έχει καλύτερη εμβέλεια από το εξωτερικό.
